Full job description

About the Role

Sigma Process Controls is looking for an experienced, target-driven, and technically competent Senior Sales Manager to lead and expand our industrial sales operations.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the sales team, developing new markets, acquiring key customers, building relationships with OEMs, EPC contractors, consultants, dealers, and industrial end users, and driving revenue growth.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in industrial equipment sales, preferably with knowledge of industrial pumps, submersible pumps, Roots blowers, ring/side channel blowers, ozonators, and water & wastewater treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Management

Lead, manage, and motivate the sales and business development team.
Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Monitor individual and team performance and ensure targets are achieved.
Conduct regular sales meetings, reviews, and performance discussions.
Train and mentor junior Sales Engineers, Sales Representatives, BDEs, and Sales Interns.
Develop effective sales strategies for different products and market segments.

Business Development

Generate new business from OEMs, EPC contractors, consultants, dealers, and industrial end users.
Identify new markets, industries, territories, and business opportunities.
Develop and expand dealer and distributor networks.
Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and major customers.
Personally handle high-value and strategically important enquiries.
Conduct technical and commercial discussions and support negotiations until order closure.

Technical & Product Sales

The candidate should have a strong understanding of:

Industrial and Submersible Pumps
Sewage and Dewatering Pumps
Roots Blowers
Ring / Side Channel Blowers
Aeration Systems
Ozonators
STP, ETP, WTP and CETP applications
Industrial process and wastewater treatment equipment

The Senior Sales Manager should be capable of understanding customer requirements and coordinating with the technical team to recommend suitable products and solutions.

Sales Operations & Strategy

Review the sales pipeline and ensure systematic follow-up of enquiries and quotations.
Monitor CRM activities, customer visits, and sales opportunities.
Develop strategies to improve enquiry generation and conversion rates.
Work closely with the management, marketing, back-office, and technical teams.
Track competitor activities, market trends, and pricing.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management.
Support forecasting, target planning, and revenue growth initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline preferred.
Experience: 5–10 years in Industrial Sales, Technical Sales, Business Development, or Sales Management.
Proven experience in managing a sales team and achieving revenue targets.
Strong network with industries, OEMs, EPC companies, consultants, or dealers is highly preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and relationship-management skills.
Ability to independently handle key accounts and major projects.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development.

Salary: ₹45,000 – ₹70,000 per month, based on experience, industry knowledge, team-management capability, existing network, and proven sales performance.
