Full job description

We are looking for a responsible, trustworthy, and proactive Building Caretaker to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administration of a residential building. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing staff, coordinating maintenance activities, handling resident requirements, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all building facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage housekeeping, security, and maintenance staff.
Monitor the cleanliness and upkeep of common areas, lobbies, staircases, lifts, terraces, and other shared facilities.
Coordinate routine maintenance and repair work with contractors and service providers.
Handle resident complaints and service requests promptly and professionally.
Assist the Building Management Committee in implementing society rules and regulations.
Coordinate emergency situations and arrange immediate corrective actions when required.
Maintain daily logs and submit periodic reports on building operations.
Collect quotations from vendors and supervise execution of repair and maintenance work.
Ensure compliance with safety, fire protection, and statutory requirements.

Requirements

Minimum Higher Secondary (Class XII) education.
Previous experience as a Building Supervisor, Caretaker, Facility Executive, or Property Manager preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, civil maintenance, and building operations.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage staff and interact courteously with residents.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, WhatsApp, Email) preferred.
Honest, disciplined, and service-oriented personality.

Preferred Experience

3+ years of experience in residential societies, apartment complexes, commercial buildings, or gated communities.
Experience in vendor management and maintenance coordination.
