Business Development Manager (BDM) – IT Infrastructure & Enterprise Solutions

Company: IBO Infotech Pvt Ltd
Location: Kochi, Kerala (Extensive travel across South India)
Experience: 10+ years (min 3 years in IT/Technical)
Education: MBA (mandatory)
Age: Up to 40 years
Salary: ₹50,000 + Uncapped Incentives
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Reports To: CEO

Role Overview

Lead our sales team, drive revenue growth, and expand market presence across South India. Manage BDEs, achieve aggressive targets, build C-level relationships, and close high-value deals in enterprise, government, education, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing segments.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

Develop and execute regional business development strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Identify high-value opportunities through partnerships, enterprise accounts, tenders, and referrals.
Lead complete sales cycle: lead generation, proposals, negotiation, deal closure.
Build and maintain C-level relationships; ensure client satisfaction and upselling.
Prepare commercial proposals, RFP responses, and contracts with technical and finance teams.
Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets and KPIs.

Team Leadership

Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor a team of BDEs (5+ members).
Set clear performance goals, KPIs, and accountability frameworks.
Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and training programs.
Monitor team metrics (calls, meetings, proposals, conversions, revenue).
Foster a results-driven culture with motivation and recognition.

Client Relationship & Market Intelligence

Build long-term strategic relationships with key clients.
Act as primary escalation point for strategic accounts.
Represent company at industry events, trade shows, and networking platforms.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
Collaborate with marketing teams for targeted campaigns and collateral.
Maintain CRM records (Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot) and sales reports.

Travel & Client Engagement

Travel extensively across South India (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry).
Conduct client meetings, product demonstrations, and site visits.

Required Qualifications

MBA (mandatory) in Marketing/Business Administration.
10+ years in B2B sales & team management; min 3 years in IT/Technical (infrastructure, networking, servers, security, AV, FMS).
Proven track record of achieving/exceeding revenue targets.
Experience in hiring, training, and leading sales teams
Valid 2-wheeler & 4-wheeler driving licence (mandatory).
Strong communication in English & Hindi (Malayalam is a plus).
Technical knowledge: Networking, Servers, Storage, Cyber Security, AV Solutions, Enterprise Computing, FMS.iboinfotech+2
Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot) and MS Office.

Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Self-motivated, target-oriented, comfortable with extensive travel.
Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends.
Customer service orientation and C-level relationship building.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: ₹50,000 per month (negotiable).
Incentives: Uncapped
Allowances: Travel, fuel, mobile, job-related expenses.
Benefits: Performance bonuses, health insurance, career growth (BDM → Sales Head → VP Sales).
