Job Title: Manager - Manufacturing Engineering (Laser Etching/Marking Process)

Job Summary:

The Manager - Manufacturing Engineering (Laser Etching/Marking Process) is responsible for understanding customer requirements and translating them into a stable, robust, and sustainable manufacturing process for laser etching and marking applications in electronics consumer products. The role is accountable for process development, industrialization, implementation of process controls, standardization of work instructions, capability improvement, and building a high-performing team through structured training and development. The incumbent will work closely with customers, quality, production, maintenance, and product engineering teams to ensure process performance, product quality, and operational excellence.

This role leads the establishment and continual improvement of laser etching and marking processes by defining process parameters, validating capability, implementing controls, and ensuring repeatable execution across production. The position also drives documentation discipline, supports customer and internal audits, and develops team capability to sustain process performance over the long term.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Understand customer requirements, product specifications, cosmetic expectations, and traceability needs, and translate them into robust laser etching/marking manufacturing processes.

2. Establish, validate, and optimize laser etching/marking processes to ensure they are stable, capable, robust, and sustainable for volume manufacturing.

3. Define critical process parameters, control limits, inspection criteria, and monitoring methods, and put necessary process controls in place to ensure consistent output and compliance.

4. Develop, review, and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, control plans, PFMEA, and other process documentation required for effective execution and audit readiness.

5. Lead process trials, qualifications, capability studies, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, yield, cycle time, and overall equipment effectiveness.

6. Collaborate with customers, quality, production, maintenance, supply chain, and new product introduction teams to ensure process readiness and successful product launches.

7. Train, mentor, and develop engineers, technicians, and operators on laser etching/marking processes, standards, troubleshooting, and best practices.

8. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements while driving a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications: Minimum Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in laser etching/marking or related manufacturing processes, preferably in electronics consumer products manufacturing.

Skills and Competencies:

· Strong expertise in laser etching/marking processes, equipment, materials interaction, and process parameter optimization.

· Demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements and convert them into scalable, controlled, and sustainable manufacturing solutions.

· Proficiency in process validation, control plans, PFMEA, SOP/work instruction development, and statistical process control methodologies.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills with proven experience in driving continuous improvement.

· Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage priorities, and support new product introduction and production ramp-up activities.

· Good knowledge of manufacturing quality systems, customer-specific requirements, and applicable safety and compliance standards.

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹3,500,000.00 per year
