Full job description

Job Title: Utility Auditor (U.S. Utilities) :

Job Summary

We are seeking a Utility Auditor to support utility expense management for U.S. commercial clients. The role focuses on auditing utility bills, validating tariffs and contracts, analyzing electricity consumption and demand, identifying billing discrepancies, benchmarking utility performance, and recommending cost-saving opportunities. This is an analytical role and does not require engineering design or facility engineering experience.

Key Responsibilities

Audit electricity, natural gas, water, and sewer utility invoices for billing accuracy.
Review utility tariffs, rate schedules, and supplier contracts for compliance and optimization.
Analyze electricity consumption (kWh), demand (kW), and interval usage data to identify trends and savings opportunities.
Identify billing errors, duplicate charges, incorrect rates, estimated bills, inactive accounts, and overlapping services.
Benchmark utility costs and consumption across facilities.
Prepare audit reports, savings analyses, and support billing dispute resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

3–5 years of experience in utility auditing, utility expense management, energy analytics, or utility billing.
Strong understanding of U.S. utility billing, tariffs, demand charges, regulated and deregulated markets.
Experience reviewing utility contracts and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or SQL is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred

Experience with multi-site commercial utility portfolios.
Knowledge of interval data analysis and utility benchmarking.
CEM or similar certification is a plus (not mandatory).

Primary Objective
Identify billing errors, optimize utility costs, validate rates and contracts, benchmark utility performance, and deliver measurable savings for clients.

Pay: ₹1,000.00 - ₹1,300.00 per hour
