JOB DESCRIPTION – ACCOUNTANT World of Mysore pak

Job Title: Accountant
Department: Finance & Accounts
Company: World of Mysorepak
Location: Mysore

Job Purpose

The Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and financial activities of World of Mysorepak, including sales, purchases, expenses, cash and bank transactions, inventory accounting, vendor accounts, GST compliance, and financial reporting.

The candidate should ensure accurate and timely maintenance of accounts while supporting management with reliable financial information for business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Accounting

Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally Prime / accounting software.
Record sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, credit notes, and debit notes.
Maintain accurate books of accounts and supporting documents.
Verify bills, invoices, receipts, and payment documents.
Ensure all transactions are entered correctly and on time.

2. Sales & Retail Reconciliation

Reconcile daily sales from retail outlets/POS systems with accounting records.
Verify cash, UPI, card, online payment, and other collections.
Identify and report differences in daily sales and collections.
Maintain outlet-wise and channel-wise sales records.
Monitor credit sales and customer outstanding balances.

3. Purchase & Vendor Accounts

Verify purchase invoices against purchase orders/received goods.
Maintain supplier and vendor ledgers.
Track vendor outstanding payments and payment due dates.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Coordinate with purchase and store teams regarding bills and stock receipts.

4. Inventory & Cost Accounting

Maintain accounting records related to raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, and other inventory.
Coordinate with the production/store team for stock records.
Assist in periodic physical stock verification.
Identify stock variances and report discrepancies to management.
Support management in monitoring product and raw-material costs.

5. GST & Statutory Compliance

Maintain proper GST-related records and documentation.
Verify GST invoices and input tax credit records.
Coordinate with the CA/tax consultant for GST returns and other statutory requirements.
Assist with TDS, income-tax, and other applicable statutory compliance.
Maintain records required for audits and statutory filings.

6. Banking & Cash Management

Maintain daily cash and petty cash records.
Perform regular bank reconciliations.
Monitor bank receipts and payments.
Ensure proper recording of cash deposits and withdrawals.
Track outstanding receivables and payables.

7. MIS & Management Reporting

Prepare regular reports such as:

Daily Sales Report
Daily Collection Report
Cash & Bank Report
Purchase Report
Expense Report
Vendor Outstanding Report
Customer Outstanding Report
Stock/Inventory Report
Monthly Profit & Loss information
Other MIS reports required by management

8. Payroll & Employee Expenses

Assist in salary and payroll-related accounting.
Maintain employee advance and reimbursement records.
Record staff expenses and other employee-related payments.
Coordinate with HR/management for payroll information.

9. Audit & Documentation

Maintain proper physical and digital records of financial documents.
Coordinate with internal/external auditors and the company's CA.
Provide required documents and accounting information during audits.
Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and properly filed.

Required Qualification

B.Com / M.Com / Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
Experience in FMCG, sweets, bakery, chocolate, food manufacturing, retail, or hospitality will be an advantage.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Tally Prime / ERP accounting software.
Good knowledge of GST and basic taxation.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
Experience in bank and ledger reconciliation.
Good understanding of inventory and retail accounting.
Good numerical and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
