Work you’ll do
The People Insights (PI) team at Deloitte Global empowers stakeholders through delivery of actionable insights for data-driven decision making, fosters a culture of continuous improvement through analytics excellence, drives innovation through data, and is the go-to resource for evidence-based people strategies.
The People Insights Deputy Manager will combine people analytics consulting, project leadership, and people leadership responsibilities. The role serves as a trusted advisor to People & Operations stakeholders, leads the delivery of complex People Insights initiatives, and guides a team of analysts and consultants to deliver high-quality, actionable insights. The role requires strong consulting skills, critical thinking, project management experience, dashboard and reporting solution experience, and the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels.
Consulting

Partner with People & Operations stakeholders to understand business challenges, define analytical approaches, and develop practical recommendations that drive action.

Lead discovery conversations, challenge assumptions, and help stakeholders frame business problems, requirements, and success measures.

Partner with technology, reporting, and analytics teams to ensure dashboard and reporting solutions are designed, tested, and delivered in alignment with stakeholder needs.

Analyze workforce data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key drivers impacting business outcomes.

Synthesize complex findings into clear, compelling narratives and executive-ready recommendations that influence decision-making.

Act as a trusted advisor, building credibility through strong business acumen, responsiveness, and consultative problem solving.
Project Delivery

Lead multiple concurrent People Insights projects from intake through delivery, ensuring timelines, risks, dependencies, stakeholder expectations, and quality standards are actively managed.

Develop project plans, facilitate status discussions, manage risks and dependencies, and drive accountability across contributors and stakeholders.

Coordinate work across Consulting, People Science, Visier Platform Operations, Operational Reporting, and Technology teams to deliver integrated people insights solutions.

Support dashboard, reporting, and technology-enabled analytics initiatives through requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, and adoption.

Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.

Continuously improve delivery processes, templates, and approaches to increase scalability, efficiency, and consistency.
People Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop a team of People Insights professionals, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Provide ongoing performance coaching, development planning, feedback, and day-to-day guidance to team members.

Review deliverables and provide direction to ensure quality, consistency, accuracy, and alignment with stakeholder expectations.

Delegate work effectively while supporting team members in building consulting, analytics, dashboard design, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Create opportunities for team members to increase exposure, broaden skills, and grow their professional capabilities.

Required Skills and Experience

9+ years of experience in consulting, advisory, analytics, reporting, or people insights roles supporting internal or external stakeholders, including experience translating business challenges into analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.

Experience within Human Resources, Human Capital, Talent Analytics, Workforce Analytics, People Analytics, or a related people-focused function preferred.

Experience leading projects and coordinating work across multiple stakeholders, contributors, and technical delivery teams.

Demonstrated experience gathering business requirements and translating them into reporting, dashboard, data visualization, or technology-enabled analytics solutions.

Experience partnering with technology, reporting, analytics, or BI teams to support dashboard development, reporting enhancements, UAT, implementation, and stakeholder adoption.

Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and structured problem solving to ambiguous business challenges.

Strong consulting mindset with the ability to connect business objectives to analytical solutions and practical recommendations.

Strong communication, facilitation, storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience coaching, mentoring, or formally leading team members.

Ability to build relationships and establish credibility with stakeholders and senior leaders.

Experience creating executive-ready presentations and delivering recommendations to business audiences.

Knowledge of BI, dashboarding, reporting, and/or people analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Visier, OneModel, or similar tools preferred.
