ABOUT THE ROLE-
ScriptoFi is looking for an Engineering Delivery Manager. About the Role Own end-to-end delivery, team coordination, and technical execution across our full stack and blockchain products — internal protocols and client engagements shipping to real users on Ethereum mainnet and other EVM networks. You will work closely with our Dubai office and international client base, travelling there on a regular cycle.
Please Note- Its an On-Site Mohali Location Job but needs to Travel to Dubai Office for work.
Travel to the Dubai office is a standing requirement — approximately quarterly, 7–10 days per visit, plus travel around major client engagements. Valid passport and unrestricted UAE travel eligibility required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery & Planning -
- Own end-to-end delivery across concurrent projects — timelines, milestones, resourcing, and risk. Drive estimation you stand behind; communicate trade-offs before they become surprises. Run Agile / Scrum ceremonies with discipline; keep velocity, burn-down, defect rates, and on-time delivery visible. Act as primary client contact for status, blockers, and schedules; coordinate handoffs across engineering, QA, and DevOps.
Technical Leadership & Hands-On Engineering-
- Own blockchain solution design: smart contracts, dApps, wallet integrations, on-chain / off-chain architecture.
- Maintain contract quality — internal review, gas optimisation, security practice, audit readiness — and own the external auditor relationship.
- Architect at depth: stack selection, scalability, caching, queuing, microservices, SQL / NoSQL modelling, and API design (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets).
- Set engineering standards — branching, CI/CD, coverage targets, documentation, release discipline — and hold the team to them.
- Prototype, debug, review, and ship alongside the team where the work requires it.
Team Leadership & Growth-
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team (full stack, blockchain, QA); identify talent gaps and own technical hiring. Conduct performance reviews, create development plans, and build clear growth paths for engineers. Foster a culture of ownership, knowledge sharing, and accountability that eliminates single points of failure. Support onboarding and knowledge transfer; ensure team capability is visible and continuously improving.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement-
Act as a senior technical voice with clients — solution walkthroughs, architecture proposals, progress updates, and technical credibility. Support pre-sales discovery: technical feasibility assessment, effort estimation, and proposal support. Communicate technical progress and risks to leadership in clear, actionable language.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
1) Required Skills Backend — Node.js / NestJS, plus at least one of Python, Java, or Go. 2)Frontend — React.js / Next.js with solid TypeScript.
3) Data & APIs — SQL and NoSQL modelling, query optimisation, schema design; REST, GraphQL, WebSockets.
4) System design — scalability, caching, queuing, microservices, OWASP application security.
5) Web3 — production Solidity; EVM chains, consensus, gas economics; Ethers.js / Web3.js; Foundry or Hardhat; wallet integrations (MetaMask, WalletConnect); ERC-20 / 721 / 1155; IPFS; audit processes.
6) Delivery — Agile / Scrum estimation and velocity tracking; managing timelines, budgets, and quality across concurrent projects.
7) DevOps — AWS (or Azure / GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring and observability.
8) Tooling & communication — Git, Linear / JIRA, APM platforms; excellent written and spoken English with senior stakeholders.
Non-Negotiable Requirements-
This role sits at the intersection of two disciplines, and candidates strong in only one have not succeeded in it. Both are mandatory, and we assess them independently.
1. Hands-on Web3 engineering- You have written, tested, and deployed Solidity contracts to mainnet yourself. Supervisory or coordination-only exposure to blockchain projects does not meet this bar. You can reason about gas economics, common vulnerability classes, and on-chain / off-chain architecture without a specialist in the room.
2. Proven management and leadership- You have led engineering teams directly — owning performance, development, hiring, and delivery accountability. Technical seniority without direct people leadership does not meet this bar
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS-
1) It is a Technical Lead profile.
2) Web3 studio, product company, or client-services firm serving international clients; scaling teams through growth phases.
DeFi, tokenisation, NFT platforms, or permissioned blockchain (Hyperledger).
3) Layer 2 scaling, cross-chain interoperability, or on-chain data indexing.
4) AI-assisted engineering workflows — using coding agents effectively and QC-ing their output with judgment
