Position: Senior Accountant / Accounts & Taxation Executive
Location: Mumbai – Vidyavihar
Experience: 3–6 Years
Qualification: Graduate in Commerce / Accounting or related field
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and accountable Senior Accountant / Accounts & Taxation Executive with 3–6 years of experience in accounting, taxation, audit, reconciliations and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of Tally, GST, TDS, income tax, audit processes and financial statement preparation. The candidate will be responsible for independently managing assigned accounting activities, coordinating with auditors and consultants and ensuring timely closure of all pending tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities using Tally.
Prepare and review Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account and other financial statements.
Handle GST, TDS, income tax and other taxation-related compliances.
Assist in the preparation and finalisation of financial statements and accounts.
Coordinate with statutory, internal and tax auditors and provide required information and documentation.
Handle audit queries and ensure timely resolution and closure of audit observations.
Perform bank, ledger, GST and balance sheet reconciliations.
Review accounting entries and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, taxation and statutory requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, consultants and other stakeholders.
Manage and guide junior accounting resources, allocate work and review their output.
Monitor pending activities and proactively follow up to ensure timely closure.
Take complete ownership of assigned deliverables and meet agreed timelines.
Identify accounting and compliance issues and escalate them appropriately.
Support management with accounting-related reports, analysis and information as required.

Required Skills & Experience

3–6 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Taxation and Audit.
Strong hands-on experience in Tally.
Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS and Income Tax compliance.
Practical exposure to Statutory Audit, Internal Audit and Tax Audit.
Good knowledge of Balance Sheet preparation and finalisation of accounts.
Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
Ability to independently manage accounting and taxation activities.
Experience in managing, mentoring or supervising junior team members.
Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under deadlines and ensure timely closure of assignments.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, responsible, execution-oriented and detail-focused. The person should be comfortable independently handling accounting, taxation, audit coordination and reconciliations while also managing junior team members.

The candidate should demonstrate a strong ownership mindset, proactively follow up on pending activities, resolve issues and ensure that assigned tasks are completed within agreed timelines.
