Restaurant Manager – Bar & Restaurant Operations

we are looking for a professional, energetic and hands-on Restaurant Manager to manage day to-day floor and team operations in a high-volume bar and restaurant environment.

The Restaurant Manager will work closely with the General Manager and will be responsible for ensuring that people, service, guest experience and daily operations run smoothly.

We are looking for someone who is excellent with staff, strong at training, commercially aware, proactive and has a sharp eye for detail.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Management & Training

Supervise and motivate restaurant and bar staff.
Conduct daily briefings and allocate staff responsibilities.
Train employees on service standards, grooming, menu knowledge, guest handling and upselling.
Monitor staff performance, attendance, discipline and productivity.
Build a positive, professional and team-oriented work culture.
Lead by example and maintain high service standards.

Restaurant & Floor Operations

Manage day-to-day floor operations and ensure smooth service.
Monitor tables, guest service, cleanliness, staff deployment and overall restaurant standards.
Coordinate effectively with the kitchen, bar, host desk and management.
Identify operational problems quickly and take corrective action.
Ensure opening, service and closing procedures are followed.
Take charge of operations when the GM is occupied or unavailable.

Sales & Business Development

Work with the GM to achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
Drive food and beverage upselling through the service team.
Encourage the team to maximise guest spend and table sales.
Build relationships with regular guests and encourage repeat business.
Support events, promotions, parties and special nights.
Monitor business during service and proactively address opportunities to improve sales.

Bar Operations

Have good working knowledge of bar operations, cocktails, beer, wine and liquor.
Assist with beverage inventory, stock checks, wastage and breakage control.
Ensure proper beverage service and portion control.
Work with the bar team to improve beverage sales and guest experience.

Guest Experience

Personally interact with guests and ensure a high-quality experience.
Handle guest complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
Identify VIP and regular guests and ensure appropriate attention.
Monitor guest feedback and communicate important issues to the GM.

Operational Control

Ensure company SOPs and service standards are followed.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, grooming and cleanliness.
Monitor inventory, wastage and operational controls.
Prepare daily operational updates and report important issues to the GM.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be:

Professional, confident and well-groomed.
Excellent at dealing with people and building staff relationships.
A strong team leader and trainer.
Highly observant with a sharp eye for detail.
Proactive and solution-oriented.
Commercially minded and interested in generating business.
Comfortable working in a busy bar and restaurant environment.
Calm and composed under pressure.
Able to work effectively with the General Manager.
Capable of taking ownership and stepping up when required.

Experience Required

2–4 years of experience in restaurant, bar, pub, lounge or hospitality operations.
Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Senior Captain, Floor Manager or equivalent.
Bar/pub experience strongly preferred.
Good knowledge of food and beverage operations.
Working knowledge of liquor, cocktails, beer and beverage service.
Experience in staff training and supervision.
Experience with high-volume restaurant or nightlife operations is an advantage.

You should be able to see a problem, take ownership, solve it and keep the GM informed.

The right person will help the GM build a stronger team, maintain excellent service standards, improve guest experience and contribute to business growth.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Experience:

bar & restaurant operation: 5 years (Required)
managing and training F&B staff: 3 years (Required)
