krid.ai builds AI sales assistants for Indian SMEs. Our product captures every customer enquiry that comes in through WhatsApp, phone calls, email, social media DMs, ad forms and marketplaces like IndiaMART, replies within 5 minutes, and keeps every lead organised in one dashboard.

Most small businesses in India lose more sales to slow replies than to competitors. We fix that.

Our co-founders have 45 years of combined experience, including a ₹4,000 Cr Silicon Valley exit and multiple US patents.

About the Role

We are hiring our first SDR to build the sales pipeline in the Indian SME market — and to build the playbook itself. This is not a traditional SDR role: you will be selling a category most Indian business owners haven't seen yet — an AI-native workforce that answers, qualifies and follows up with customers around the clock. You'll be introducing SMEs to what AI can actually do for their business, often for the first time, which means using AI daily yourself, not just talking about it.

You will use our own AI research tool to study each company and our own AI assistants to help with outreach. Before you contact a company, you will already know how they handle customer enquiries and where they are losing business, because you will have researched and tested it yourself. You will also be on the phone every day speaking to business owners directly.

Because you are the first person in this seat, there is no existing process to follow — you will decide what "good" looks like, and that becomes the standard for every SDR hired after you. Your goal is simple: book quality meetings between promising companies and our co-founders.

What You Will Do

Find and research the right companies. Identify Indian SMEs and MSMEs that receive customer enquiries across multiple channels but have no proper system to handle them (manufacturing, textiles, auto parts, real estate, healthcare, education, logistics, IT services), then use our in-house AI research tool to study and rank each one so you focus on the best-fit prospects first.

Test how they respond. For top companies on your list, check how quickly they actually reply to a customer on WhatsApp, phone, email and their website form, and note what you find in a short, clear summary. Sell the AI-native shift, not just a feature. Help business owners see the difference between "software that helps my team" and "an AI agent that works around the clock, at scale." Position krid.ai as their entry point into becoming an AI- native business.

Reach out with what you found and book meetings. Contact companies over phone, WhatsApp, email and LinkedIn, starting the conversation with your findings instead of a sales pitch. Our AI assistants help with follow-ups, but you'll do a good amount of calling yourself — get a confirmed 30-minute meeting with our co-founders and follow up until the prospect actually attends. Work with marketing and attend exhibitions. Help plan campaigns for the segments you are targeting and run the same research on inbound leads. Represent krid.ai at trade shows and expos with your research done in advance, meet business owners in person, and follow up afterwards (some travel within India required).

Build the playbook and share what you learn. Document what works — messaging, sequencing, qualification criteria, how to pitch AI-native adoption to a first-time buyer — so it can be handed to the next SDR we hire. Tell the product and leadership team why customers say yes and no, and what objections keep coming up around trusting AI with customer conversations.

What We Are Looking For

BBA/B.Com/MBA — Sales & Marketing or Business Development

1–4 years of experience in B2B sales, inside sales or business development in the Indian market

Comfortable making cold calls and speaking to business owners and founders

Fluent in English and Hindi. Other Indian languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi or Gujarati are a big plus

Genuinely interested in research. You enjoy digging into a company and finding useful details

Comfortable using AI tools and CRMs daily, and sensible enough to double-check what the AI gives you before using it

Genuinely curious about AI and able to explain it in plain, business terms to someone who has never used it — no jargon, just ROI

Able to handle rejection and keep going Willing to travel for exhibitions and client meetings

Comfortable working without a pre-built playbook — you'd rather define the process than be handed one

Good to have: Experience selling SaaS, CRM or telecom products to Indian SMEs. Familiarity with IndiaMART, JustDial, Meta Ads or Google Ads. Experience working at trade shows. Prior experience as an early or founding hire at a startup. Any hands-on experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, AI agents, automation platforms) that you can speak to from personal use.
