Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content & Organic Growth Strategy
Own the overall content and organic-growth strategy across the 8 partner universities.
Build channel strategies across Social, YouTube, Reddit, Quora, communities and emergingplatforms.
Identify opportunities to drive organic growth through content formats, creators, trends,communities and distribution.
Build a culture of experimentation across formats, narratives, platforms and distribution.
Develop scalable content frameworks, playbooks and operating models.
2. University-Specific Content Ecosystems
Develop differentiated content strategies for each partner university based on its positioning,audience, brand identity and tone of voice.
Build distinct editorial identities, content pillars and narratives for each university.
Identify opportunities across faculty, alumni, programmes, research, student stories andthought leadership.
Ensure content feels native to each university rather than templated across the portfolio.
3. Social Media & YouTube
Set the strategic direction for Social Media and YouTube across the portfolio.
Build and scale audiences from the ground up.
Develop platform-specific content strategies and repeatable content franchises.
Own key metrics including audience growth, reach, engagement, views, watch time, retentionand downstream business impact.
Work closely with Creative and channel leads to build a strong production and distributionengine.
4. Communities & Thought Leadership
Build credible, value-led presence across Reddit, Quora and relevant communities.
Develop community and thought-leadership strategies that build trust and participation ratherthan overt brand promotion.
Leverage university leaders, faculty, alumni, experts and creators to build authority aroundeducation, careers, skills and professional development.
Identify emerging platforms and communities with organic-growth potential.
5. Organic Distribution & Growth
Build systems to maximise the reach and lifespan of high-potential content.
Develop content loops that drive discovery, engagement, sharing and repeat consumption.
Continuously test new organic distribution mechanisms.
Partner closely with SEO to ensure complementary organic-growth strategies, while SEO remainsan independent function.
6. Social Listening & ORM
Set up and own social-listening and reputation-management frameworks across the portfolio.
Establish an ORM rulebook covering monitoring, escalation, response protocols and ownership.
Track brand conversations, sentiment, share of voice and emerging reputation risks.
Develop proactive content strategies based on audience conversations and insights.
7. Analytics & Business Impact
Own a comprehensive performance framework covering:
Audience and community growth
Organic reach, engagement and content consumption
YouTube views, watch time and retention
Share of voice, brand mentions and branded search
Reddit/Quora and community visibility
Organic traffic and leads
Content-influenced applications
Organic conversion and contribution to the marketing funnel
The expectation is to turn data into actionable insights and repeatable growth models, not simply report metrics.
8. Team & Cross-functional Leadership
Lead and develop a team of content and channel specialists, including Social Media and YouTubeleads.
Set objectives, KPIs and operating rhythms while building a culture of experimentation andaccountability.
Work closely with the
Head of Brand, Head of Creative, SEO, Performance, PR, University
Partner, Admissions and Analytics teams.
Partner with Creative to translate content strategy into high-quality creative output.
Work with external agencies across social, YouTube and production.
Build processes that enable multiple university brands to scale without compromising quality ordifferentiation.
Skills & Qualifications:
12–15+ years of experience in content, digital, social, media, consumer marketing or related fields.
Significant B2C experience is mandatory.
Proven experience building and scaling channels from scratch, particularly Social Media and/or YouTube.
Strong track record of building organic audiences and driving measurable growth.
Experience developing content strategy rather than only executing content calendars.
Strong understanding of organic distribution, community building and seeding.
Experience with Reddit, Quora or other community-led platforms is highly desirable.
Experience building thought-leadership or community-led content programmes.
Proven experience managing and developing teams.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Ability to operate at both strategic and executional levels.
Strong cross-functional and stakeholder-management skills.
