Key Responsibilities

Strategy

Responsible for managing the delivery of regulatory reporting outputs in accordance with regulatory requirements. Works across Group, Country, Business and Change teams to improve the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of Capital metrics submitted to stakeholders. Supports initiatives to optimise Capital and RWA through improved data quality, controls, and reporting processes.

Business

Strong functional knowledge across Basel frameworks (Basel II, III and IV), Capital metrics computation, and reporting methodologies. Good understanding of Banking Products and their linkage to Risk Weighted Assets and regulatory capital outcomes. Hands-on experience using SQL and reporting platforms to interrogate data and perform analysis. Familiarity with Moody’s reporting platforms is an advantage. Good understanding of regulatory data management requirements including BCBS 239, PRA and Local regulatory expectations.

Processes

Ensures operational efficiency, accuracy, and completeness of regulatory capital reports through effective monitoring of KPIs and controls. Establishes robust control checks and governance within the reporting process to meet regulatory standards. Drives continuous process improvement through standardisation, simplification, and automation to enhance reporting quality and sustainability.

People & Talent

Manages and develops team members responsible for BAU regulatory capital reporting. Collaborates with Change, Technology, and Business teams to support implementation of enhancements and ensures smooth transition of changes into BAU in line with regulatory and technology objectives.

Risk Management

Identifies, manages, and escalates risks related to capital metrics and regulatory reporting. Supports responses to internal and external queries on regulatory capital and reporting outcomes. Provides analysis and support on capital-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate documentation.

Governance

Monitor and ensure that appropriate Change governance is followed across all transformation initiatives. Represent the function at the governance forums in place for tracking change initiatives and influence decisions in respect of the change backlog, prioritisation, choice of technology tools and the operating model.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association (or equivalent)

Skills and Experience
Strong functional content across Basel framework (Basel II, III and IV); Capital metrics computation and methodologies, with key drivers
Good understanding on Banking Products and able to co-relate to Risk Weighted Assets / Regulatory Reporting
Candidate must be familiar with the use of SQL to interrogate and extract the data for analysis.
SAS and/or Python knowledge is an added benefit
Candidate must be familiar with regulatory requirements for data management - BCBS 239 and PRA requirements
Stakeholder engagement (across geographies) with strong Communication skills
People leadership and management
Technical skills like Advanced Excel (including macro) and Python / R
Knowledge on Balance Sheet Management systems like Moody’s, Oracle, QRM
Qualifications
MBA (Fin) or Master’s in finance / Accountancy / Economics or affiliated subjects; Undergraduate degree in Science / Engineering / Commerce.
Chartered Accountant: Risk Management or related Professional Certification will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years of Capital Regulatory Reporting.
Strong knowledge of Capital regulations and metrics; Proficient in analytics to drive deep understanding of Capital; Collaboration mindset; able to deliver solutions to improve BAU.
