Full job description

Overview
PENNEP is looking for a proactive and experienced HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations and join our Clients manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll coordination, employee relations, statutory compliance, performance management, and HR administration. The candidate should be well-versed in labour laws and capable of supporting a dynamic manufacturing workforce while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements and ensure timely hiring.
Conduct employee induction and orientation programs for new hires.
Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files with accuracy and confidentiality.
Administer attendance, leave management, shift schedules, and employee records.
Coordinate payroll inputs, including attendance, overtime, leave records, incentives, and statutory deductions for timely payroll processing.
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, including PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, Factory Act, CLRA, and other statutory requirements.
Maintain statutory registers, employee documentation, and records required for audits and labour inspections.
Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflict resolution in a fair and professional manner.
Support performance management processes, including probation reviews, appraisals, confirmations, and employee development initiatives.
Identify training needs and coordinate employee learning and development programs.
Prepare HR reports and MIS related to recruitment, attendance, attrition, headcount, leave, and employee performance.
Organize employee engagement activities, welfare initiatives, and recognition programs to enhance employee satisfaction.
Process employee separations, including resignation acceptance, exit interviews, full and final settlement coordination, and documentation.
Ensure timely issuance of appointment letters, confirmation letters, warning letters, experience letters, and other HR-related documents.
Monitor contract labour documentation and statutory compliance where applicable.
Support internal, external, ISO, and statutory audits by maintaining accurate HR records.
Ensure adherence to company policies, code of conduct, and workplace discipline.
Stay updated with changes in labour laws and HR best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
MBA/PGDM in Human Resources will be preferred.
3–4 years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering industry.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of recruitment and talent acquisition.
Good understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
Experience in payroll coordination and attendance management.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
Experience with HRMS/Payroll software is preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
Ability to handle both blue-collar and white-collar workforce recruitment.
Strong coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
Hands-on experience in employee engagement, compliance, and HR operations.
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
