JOB PROFILE:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IoT Engineer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be

responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting Industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions for

Power Systems, Renewable Energy, SCADA, Telemetry, Meteorological Monitoring, and Energy

Management applications. The role involves working with field devices, communication networks, cloud

platforms, edge computing systems, and industrial protocols to enable reliable real-time monitoring and

analytics solutions.

Designation: IOT Engineer

Department: Research & Development

Reports to: Senior IOT Engineer

Location: Full Time On-Site, Howrah

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement IoT/IIoT solutions for power and renewable energy applications.
Integrate sensors, RTUs, FRTUs, PMUs, meters, weather stations, and industrial controllers with

cloud and SCADA platforms.

Develop and maintain communication interfaces using protocols such as Modbus, MQTT, OPC

UA, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, and TCP/IP.

Configure and troubleshoot IoT gateways, industrial routers, edge devices, and communication

networks.

Support integration of Meteorological Stations, Power Quality Meters, Energy Management

Systems, and Solar Plant SCADA solutions.

Develop dashboards, APIs, and data acquisition systems for remote monitoring and analytics.
Work with databases, cloud platforms, and server environments for IoT data management.
Coordinate with software, hardware, and project teams for deployment and commissioning

activities.

Prepare technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, reports, and customer

submissions.

Perform factory testing, field commissioning, troubleshooting, and remote diagnostics.
Ensure cybersecurity, data integrity, and reliable communication architecture for IoT systems.
Support customer approvals for system architecture, communication design, and technical

documentation.

Required Skills & Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of Industrial IoT and automation systems.

Experience with SCADA, telemetry, and industrial communication systems.

Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments and networking concepts.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.

Understanding of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or InfluxDB.

Knowledge of Python, Node.js, C/C++, or scripting languages preferred.

Experience with REST APIs, web services, and remote device management.

Understanding of VPNs, firewalls, cybersecurity, and network security practices.

Ability to troubleshoot field communication and hardware integration issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related

Engineering field.

Minimum Exp. 3-4 years

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Good communication and documentation abilities.

Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
