Job Description

Associate Manager – SEO

Location:

Bangalore / Hybrid (3 Days WFO)

Reports To:

Engagement Manager – Engagements

Role Overview

Bring SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) solution expertise into projects to deliver strategic and tactical initiatives that improve clients' visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences. Drive measurable business outcomes by combining technical SEO, content strategy, and AI search optimization to achieve program KPIs and client goals.

What You'll Be Doing

Create and work on solution plans to ensure that all deliverables go in a timely and effective manner to engagement teams
Formulate and use standard methods, frameworks and artefacts to ensure quality standards of all deliverables
Produce outputs that are technically thought through and readily usable by internal or external project stakeholders
Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ business and industry and demonstrate the same effectively on the deliverables, internal & external discussions, etc.
Participate in client meetings along with engagement manager to present / defend our solution POV
Participate in internal calls with US based SMEs, on need basis, to understand and translate the directions for complex/new approaches or analysis
Develop deep expertise in the following key deliverables: - Keyword strategy, Content & on page strategy, SEO forecasting, technical analysis and Link building &clean up, Entity optimization & structured data; GEO for AI platforms; AI search visibility and citation optimization.
Develop and execute GEO strategies to improve brand visibility across AI-powered search.
Collaborate with Content, Analytics and Technical teams using E-E-A-T, schema and entity optimization.
Monitor AI search trends and AI visibility metrics

Your Expertise

Contribution to enable client satisfaction of projects delivered
Demonstration of technical excellence in SEO/GEO and digital marketing on the projects and for building the function
Ownership towards learning client business, industry, customer & competition
Ability to deliver error free and high-quality output on projects
Guide the team of analysts to follow the SEO/GEO framework, processes and templates and contribute to evolving them
Introduce best practices to the team based on knowledge and expertise in digital marketing and SEO

Who You Are

At least 5-8 years of experience in digital marketing with particular focus on SEO
3+ years of recent experience in SEO will be a plus
Client servicing experience preferred.
Understanding of semantic search, entity optimization, schema, and E-E-A-T.
Exposure to GEO for Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.
Experience with Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console and AI-assisted SEO tools.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelors in quantitative disciplines from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute.
MBA or master's in communications from Tier 1 or Tier 2 institutes would be a plus
