JOB SUMMARY:
The role rolls up to the corporate/ business strategy head, and will be primarily responsible to design, detail, execute and project manage initiatives in the distribution team with focus on Agency channel.
The person will responsible for working with and/ or leading cross functional teams across the distribution, digital and operational functions to execute projects. This individual will work closely with the senior management team and will help identify, prioritize initiatives and de-bottleneck roadblocks to achieve them.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Agency + APC transformation office: Set up and lead the team to drive:
Lead completion of field rhythms. Completion of HO review cadence to support field execution. Completion of performance culture rhythms
Monthly execution of outbound communications for recruitment training,
Program manage initiatives
Design of appropriate design interventions (in weekly design review) of HO led execution initiatives
Project execution: Drive projects in Build operate transfer mode.
Program management: Drive collaboration with other departments, to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives
Change management: Lead and support change initiatives, ensuring the organization's ability to adapt to evolving market conditions and strategic priorities
Cross-functional conflict resolution: Drive collaboration with other departments, to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives
Distribution – Identify opportunities in existing business models. Define projects, design and execute to deliver growth.
Challenger role: Play key role in challenging status quo representing CEO office to drive performance, execution and sales plan
Category creation: Assess and evaluate opportunities to create new product categories to cover white spaces or emerging opportunities in the market
Encourage innovation: Exploring new business models, technologies, and approaches to maintain a competitive edge.
Strategic plan: Support development and execution of the company's strategic plan. Continuously contribute to assess and refine the strategic roadmap
Market analysis – Participate in discussions within the industry, leverage market research companies, to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and market trends. Provide insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Lead high performing team: Support recruitment activities, mentor, train and engage team members
Team leadership: Mentor strategy team members, provide guidance and support. Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Conduct comprehensive research, internal and external discussions, and discussions with market players to develop POV / possible solutions.
Provide guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring that strategic initiatives are aligned with the company's goals /objectives
Lead cross functional team agendas (distribution, products, digital, technology, finance, legal) to formulate strategic options, evaluate selected options and make recommendations on decisions involving investments or decisions, comprehensively to senior management along with program leaders.
Identify new age distribution opportunities, design business case and drive pilot success leading to expansion

Work with cross functional team (including consultants) to identify and analyze key levers impacting the process / work area
Bring an outside in perspective to the business problem. Use networks within and outside of the industry to learn best practices and evaluate how they can be used and applied to Max Life’s business problems.
Contribute to building strategies, work closely with “planning” and drive change activities to achieve “best in class” competitiveness for the specific work area/ process
Help in charting a path to help guide the company’s growth and in doing so, understand and apply technology and financial principles to guide strategic choices

JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
MBA (preferably from IIM’s A/B/C/L, ISB) with 15+ years of experience
Prior experience in consulting / corporate strategy/ agency distribution strategy roles will be an advantage
Should have been involved in project execution – preferably in product creation / management, distribution channels
Proficient in MS Excel, Powerpoint, Data Interpretation; conversant with Quantitative as well as Qualitative Analytical methods to cull out actionable insights
Life insurance or broader Financial Services experience preferred
Should have managed consulting teams (3-6 member teams) and worked on multiple client engagement projects (preferably in parallel)
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent communication skills and a thoughtful, persuasive personal style.
Self-starters comfortable in a project-oriented environment and comfortable in dealing with large cross functional projects.
Being boundary-less is of critical importance as the role will require working through several business projects.
Ability to influence key stakeholders and operational owners through well-articulated strategies backed up with metric driven value statements.
Analytical skills and judgment to solve problems with limited information at hand by learning and using Statistical tools and logics.
Ability to develop, test and validate hypotheses. Should be competent at analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data.
