Job description

Job Summary:

The Content Writer specializing in SEO writing and email campaign writing is responsible for creating high-quality, engaging, and optimized content that drives traffic, engages readers, and converts leads. This role focuses on producing SEO friendly blog posts, landing page copy, and marketing emails that align with business goals. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of keyword research, on-page SEO best practices, and email marketing strategies to craft content that resonates with target audiences and improves search engine rankings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SEO Content Creation: o Write SEO-friendly blog posts, landing pages, and descriptions that align with keyword strategies and rank well in search engines. o Conduct keyword research using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Keyword Planner to identify opportunities for organic growth. o Optimize content for on-page SEO, including meta tags, alt tags, headers, internal linking, and keyword placement. o Regularly update existing website content to improve SEO performance and align with updated strategies.

2. Email Campaign Writing: o Craft compelling and conversion-oriented email copy for marketing campaigns, including promotional emails, newsletters, drip campaigns, and product announcements. o Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content for A/B testing to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions. o Ensure email content is consistent with brand voice and tone, and personalized to target audiences based on segmentation. o Implement best practices for email marketing, including subject lines, CTAs, and compliance with CAN-SPAM regulations.

3. Content Strategy & Planning: o Work with the content and marketing teams to develop and execute a content calendar focused on SEO and email marketing. o Align content with broader marketing goals, ensuring that it supports product launches, lead generation initiatives, and brand-building efforts. o Monitor the performance of written content through tools like Google Analytics, Moz, and Mailchimp, and adjust strategies to enhance engagement and conversion.

4. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: o Collaborate with graphic designers, and social media teams to ensure that written content supports overall marketing campaigns. o Coordinate with product teams to ensure all email campaigns and SEO content are aligned with product messaging and business objectives. 5. Editing & Proofreading: o Proofread and edit all content for grammar, tone, consistency, and SEO compliance before publication or distribution. o Ensure all written materials align with brand guidelines and tone of voice. Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience: o 1-4 years of experience in content writing with a focus on SEO and email marketing. o Proven experience using email marketing platforms like Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or HubSpot. o Demonstrated ability to optimize content for search engines and improve organic traffic through effective SEO practices.
Technical Skills: o Strong command of SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics, Moz) and experience in keyword research and on-page optimization. o Familiarity with email marketing automation tools and best practices for email campaign management. o Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, and email marketing platforms like Mailchimp or HubSpot.
Industry Knowledge: Experience writing for specific industries (e.g., BFSI, SaaS, B2B) is a plus.
Portfolio: A portfolio of SEO-focused articles and successful email campaigns is highly preferred.

SEO Knowledge: Deep understanding of current SEO best practices, keyword optimization, and search engine algorithms.
Creativity & Persuasion: Strong writing skills with the ability to craft engaging, persuasive content that drives conversions and sales.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze email performance and organic traffic data, adjust strategies based on results, and implement actionable recommendations.
