TPA & Business Development Manager -Job Description

Job summary

The TPA & Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building corporate and institutional partnerships, and managing TPA, insurance, and healthcare partner relationships for Mardamed Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. The role focuses on expanding patient footfall for advanced radiology, diagnostics, health check-ups, doctor consultations, sample collection, vaccination, dental care, therapy, pharmacy, and related healthcare services while ensuring smooth coordination, documentation, billing support, and partner satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

TPA, Insurance & Institutional Coordination

· Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with TPAs, insurance companies, corporates, hospitals, clinics, and healthcare institutions.

· Drive empanelment, agreement renewals, service-rate negotiations, and documentation for TPA and insurance partnerships.

· Coordinate requirements related to cashless, reimbursement, pre-authorization, approvals, billing support, and claim documentation for eligible healthcare services.

· Act as the key relationship point for partner escalations, claim-related queries, patient coordination issues, and service fulfilment concerns.

Business Development

· Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets through direct sales, corporate tie-ups, referral channels, insurance partnerships, and institutional alliances.

· Promote Mardamed Healthcare services including advanced radiology, MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray, lab tests, health check-ups, doctor consultations, sample collection, vaccination, dental care, therapy, pharmacy, and preventive healthcare packages.

· Identify and convert new business opportunities with corporates, HR teams, RWAs, schools, hospitals, clinics, doctors, diagnostic centres, insurance companies, and TPAs.

· Build referral networks and partner pipelines to increase patient inflow, package sales, and repeat business.

· Prepare business proposals, quotations, presentations, and service packages tailored to corporate and institutional requirements.

Marketing, Outreach & Brand Development

· Plan and execute corporate wellness programs, health camps, community outreach initiatives, referral activations, and partner engagement activities.

· Collaborate with internal marketing teams to support promotional campaigns, digital outreach, corporate presentations, and service communication.

· Represent Mardamed Healthcare at business meetings, networking forums, corporate events, healthcare exhibitions, and partner discussions.

· Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities in healthcare, diagnostics, radiology, and preventive health services.

Operations, Billing & Compliance

· Ensure accurate documentation, billing coordination, service authorization, claim-support records, and partner communication.

· Coordinate internally with front office, radiology, diagnostics, pharmacy, doctors, finance, and operations teams to deliver timely patient and partner service.

· Maintain compliance with healthcare, insurance, patient-service, and medico-legal documentation requirements.

· Resolve escalations related to partner accounts, patient experience, billing, reports, approvals, and service delivery.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

· Prepare MIS reports on revenue performance, lead generation, conversion ratios, partner contribution, TPA activity, claim status, and outstanding follow-ups.

· Track KPIs including patient footfall, corporate sales, package uptake, referral performance, partner engagement, claim turnaround time, and satisfaction levels.

· Share periodic updates with management and recommend corrective actions to improve revenue, service quality, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA/MHA preferred.

· 5–15 years of experience in healthcare business development, diagnostics, hospitals, radiology services, insurance coordination, TPA management, or corporate healthcare sales.

· Mandatory healthcare background with strong understanding of radiology, diagnostics, preventive health packages, corporate wellness, and insurance/TPA processes.

· Proven ability to generate revenue, close institutional tie-ups, manage stakeholder relationships, and achieve business targets.

· Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, analytical, and relationship-management skills.

Preferred Background

· Prior experience with radiology centres, diagnostic chains, multi-specialty clinics, hospitals, TPAs, insurance companies, or corporate wellness programs.

· Existing network with corporates, HR leaders, doctors, clinics, hospitals, insurance companies, TPAs, and healthcare institutions in Bengaluru.

· Experience organizing health camps, wellness drives, referral programs, and healthcare marketing initiatives.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented, startup-style healthcare environment.
