The Role
We are hiring a Digital Sales Planner to support the pre-sale and execution workflows across our revenue team.
This role focuses on turning ideas into structured, client-ready outputs—building media plans, developing decks, and ensuring campaigns are set up for successful execution. You will work closely with Account Managers and Sales to bring proposals to life and maintain a high standard across all client-facing materials.
This role is well-suited for someone who takes initiative, learns quickly, and looks for ways to improve how work gets done.
Key Responsibilities

Own customer relationships

Become the primary post-sale contact for data customers.

Manage onboarding, data access, trials, ongoing support, and customer requests.

Develop a clear understanding of each customer’s use cases, contract scope, stakeholders, and success criteria.

Maintain regular communication with customers and proactively surface risks, concerns, and expansion opportunities.
-
Coordinate internal escalations and keep customers informed until issues are resolved.

Ensure reliable data delivery
-
Monitor data feeds, APIs, and deliveries for uptime, gaps, delays, or unexpected behavior.
-
Establish dashboards, alerts, and operating procedures for identifying problems early.
-
Work with Engineering and Data teams to investigate and resolve technical issues.
-
Own incident communication and maintain clear records of problems, resolutions, and follow-up actions.

Help build customer-facing documentation and internal troubleshooting playbooks.

Manage trials, contracts, and renewals
-
Coordinate paid trials, order forms, data access, usage terms, and conversion follow-ups.
-
Maintain an accurate calendar of renewal dates, notice periods, pricing changes, and contractual commitments.

Support renewals, amendments, annual price increases, and account expansions.

Ensure customer requests and proposed use cases remain consistent with contractual permissions.

Coordinate with Finance and Legal when new terms, amendments, or usage rights are required.

Support data-product growth

Translate customer feedback and commercial requests into clear product and data requirements.

Help identify, validate, and launch new monetizable datasets and AI-enhanced data products.

Coordinate pilots with prospective customers and collect structured feedback.
-
Assess recurring customer requests to identify broader product opportunities.
-
Support the creation of sales materials, product documentation, and use-case descriptions.

Build the operating system for the business

Maintain account plans, contact records, support history, contract status, and revenue opportunities.

Produce a concise weekly view of account health, feed performance, renewals, risks, and next actions.

Create repeatable workflows so routine execution does not depend on senior leadership.

Support the Head of Growth and Data Sales lead with customer preparation, follow-ups, and execution
Qualifications
-
3–7 years of experience in B2B account or product management, customer success, data partnerships, or a related role.
-
Experience supporting enterprise customers using APIs, data feeds, analytics products, or other technical services.
-
Enough technical fluency to understand data-delivery workflows, investigate issues, and communicate effectively with engineers.
-
Experience managing trials, renewals, order forms, pricing discussions, and contractual commitments.

Excellent written communication and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
-
Strong organizational skills and close attention to operational and contractual details.
-
A proactive, ownership-oriented working style; you identify problems and drive them through resolution.
-
Comfort working across time zones and in a fast-moving environment with evolving processes.
Preferred experience
-
Experience with financial data, market data, alternative data, fintech, or institutional financial-services customers.

Familiarity with API monitoring, data-quality controls, incident management, or service-level reporting.

Experience helping commercialize new datasets or data-driven products.

Exposure to hedge funds, financial institutions, corporate data users, or academic researchers.
What success looks like
Within the first six months, this person will have:

Established a complete account-management and renewal process for every data customer.

Take ownership of routine customer requests and internal follow-ups.

Implemented dependable monitoring and escalation procedures for data delivery.

Created better visibility into customer health, trials, renewals, and expansion opportunities.

Helped move at least one new dataset or customer-driven data product from idea toward commercial validation.

Working hours
The role may be based in the United States or India but must provide meaningful overlap with U.S. business hours. India-based candidates should generally be available until approximately 1:00 p.m. ET to support customers and internal stakeholders.
