This position is ideal for mid to senior-level technology professionals to join the Commercial Technology team as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer, leading the development, customization, and optimization of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform across EMEA.
Partnering with cross-functional teams including Marketing, IT, and Commercial Software, you’ll deliver scalable marketing automation solutions, provide technical leadership for platform transformations, and ensure seamless platform performance. This role is critical in enabling business growth through data-driven marketing, platform innovation, and operational excellence.
- Develop and customize marketing journeys, automations, and cloud pages to deliver personalized customer experiences across EMEA.
- Optimize platform performance and lead troubleshooting of technical issues to ensure stability and efficiency.
- Act as technical lead for platform transformations, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Serve as escalation point for high-severity incidents and lead resolution efforts in collaboration with internal teams and Salesforce support.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and deliver high-value solutions.
- Define and execute the platform’s technical roadmap, including future integrations and enhancements aligned to business strategy.
- Ensure compliance with data governance standards, including GDPR and regional security requirements.
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field.
o 5+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud with a strong development focus
o Proven experience leading technical initiatives and platform implementations
o Strong understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture (data extensions, journeys, automations)
o Hands-on expertise in AMPscript, SSJS, GTL, SQL, HTML, and CSS
o Strong data modeling and SQL-based segmentation capabilities
o Experience in troubleshooting, incident resolution, and platform optimization
o Strong project management and prioritization skills
o Excellent communication skills with ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
o Ability to collaborate across global cross-functional teams and lead initiatives end-to-end.
Complimentary Skills
- Experience integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud with external systems and other Salesforce clouds using APIs (SOAP/REST).
- Knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud, Flows, segmentation, and activation use cases.
- Understanding of AI technologies and agentic patterns is desirable.

- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement Developer (required)
- Marketing Cloud Consultant (preferred)
- Data Cloud Consultant (desirable)
