ABOUT THE ROLE-
ScriptoFi is looking for an Engineering Delivery Manager to own end-to-end project delivery, team coordination, and technical execution across full stack and blockchain products. This is a onsite role that bridges technical expertise and delivery excellence — you will manage project timelines, quality, and team performance while staying hands-on with architecture decisions and code reviews.
You will drive delivery outcomes across multiple concurrent client engagements and internal products shipping to real users on Ethereum mainnet and other EVM networks. You will establish delivery discipline through Agile practices, mentor engineers, and act as the connective thread between technical teams, clients, and stakeholders. Equally important: you will write code, review pull requests, architect solutions, and jump into technical problem-solving when the team needs you.
The primary expectation is clear: deliver projects on time, on budget, and on quality, while growing the engineering capability of your team and maintaining technical credibility. If you want to lead delivery with your hands firmly on the codebase, this role is built for you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Delivery & Planning-
Own end-to-end delivery across multiple concurrent projects — timeline planning, milestone definition, resource allocation, and risk identification. Drive accurate estimation practices; own estimates you stand behind and communicate trade-offs clearly to stakeholders. Establish and run Agile / Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives with discipline and continuous improvement mindset. Maintain visible delivery metrics: velocity, burn-down, defect rates, release cadence, and on-time delivery %. Surface risks early and drive mitigation. Manage client expectations and timelines; act as the primary point of contact for project status, blockers, and delivery schedules. Coordinate across technical teams, QA, and DevOps to ensure seamless handoffs and release readiness.
Technical Leadership & Hands-
On Engineering Contribute hands-on to architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical problem-solving — you are a full stack engineer first. Review and mentor code across full stack and blockchain components; establish code review culture and engineering standards. Take ownership of blockchain solution design: smart contracts, dApps, wallet integrations, on-chain / off-chain data architecture. Build and maintain smart contract quality: internal audits, gas optimisation, security best practices, and audit readiness. Establish engineering standards: branching strategy, CI/CD practices, test coverage targets, documentation, and release discipline. Architect system solutions at depth — stack selection, scalability, caching, microservices, SQL / NoSQL data modelling, API design (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets). Prototype, debug, and ship features alongside your team — you are hands-on, not hands-off.
Team Leadership & Growth-
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team (full stack, blockchain, QA); identify talent gaps and own technical hiring. Conduct performance reviews, create development plans, and build clear growth paths for engineers. Foster a culture of ownership, knowledge sharing, and accountability that eliminates single points of failure. Support onboarding and knowledge transfer; ensure team capability is visible and continuously improving.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement-
Act as a senior technical voice with clients — solution walkthroughs, architecture proposals, progress updates, and technical credibility. Support pre-sales discovery: technical feasibility assessment, effort estimation, and proposal support. Communicate technical progress and risks to leadership in clear, actionable language.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience & Leadership- At least 8–12 years in software engineering with hands-on development experience across full stack. At least 2+ years in delivery management, project leadership, or engineering management roles. Proven track record delivering production systems end-to-end and managing multiple client engagements successfully. Strong people leadership: experience mentoring engineers, conducting hiring, and building high-performing teams. Excellent verbal and written communication in English; ability to engage with senior stakeholders, clients, and teams.
Full Stack Engineering- Strong backend expertise: Node.js / NestJS, plus at least one of Python, Java, or Go. Strong frontend expertise: React.js / Next.js with solid TypeScript proficiency. Database design: SQL and NoSQL data modelling, query optimization, and schema design. API design and integration: REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets. System design at depth: scalability, caching, queuing, microservices architecture, and OWASP application security.
Blockchain & Web3- Hands-on Solidity experience: smart contract development, testing, debugging, and mainnet deployment. Working knowledge of EVM chains, consensus mechanisms, gas economics, and common smart contract vulnerabilities. Practical experience with Web3.js / Ethers.js, Hardhat or Foundry, and wallet integrations (MetaMask, WalletConnect). Understanding of token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155), IPFS, and on-chain / off-chain architecture. Familiarity with audit processes and security best practices in smart contract development.
Delivery & DevOps-
Agile / Scrum expertise: sprint planning, estimation, velocity tracking, and retrospectives. Cloud and DevOps proficiency: AWS (or Azure / GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability. Experience managing timelines, budgets, and quality metrics across concurrent projects. Tools proficiency: Git, JIRA / Linear, code review tools, and APM / monitoring platforms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS-
Prior experience in a Web3 studio, product company, or client-services firm serving international clients. Background in DeFi, tokenisation, NFT platforms, or permissioned blockchain (Hyperledger). Experience scaling engineering teams through growth phases. Exposure to Layer 2 scaling solutions, cross-chain interoperability, or on-chain data indexing. Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering workflows — using coding agents effectively and QCing output with sound judgment. Experience running engineering metrics dashboards or implementing delivery excellence frameworks.
