Role Overview

The Business Development Manager – Events & Exhibitions will be responsible for driving top-of-funnel lead generation, client pitching, credential presentations, proposal management, and business acquisition across the corporate events, brand activations, and trade exhibitions domain. Working closely alongside the Head of Sales & Marketing (HOSM), the candidate will manage end-to-end sales pipelines, maintain rigorous reporting standards, and coordinate cross-functional teams from pitch creation to lead closure.

Key Responsibilities & KRAs

· Target Alignment & Strategy: Support the Head of Sales & Marketing (HOSM) in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. Individual targets are directly aligned and linked with the HOSM.

· New Business Acquisition: Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities in collaboration with the HOSM across corporate, event, and exhibition verticals.

· Client Engagement & Cred Presentations: Conduct credential (Cred) presentations and structure structured follow-up meetings in alignment with requirements and instructions from the HOSM.

· Sales Outreach Metrics: Arrange and execute 80–100 client calls and secure at least 40 qualified client meetings every month.

· Deck & Collateral Management: Prepare, maintain, and present internal sales presentation decks, credential portfolios, and weekly call review materials.

· End-to-End Proposal Management: Coordinate with internal teams (Design, Costing, Technical, Budgeting, and Execution) to prepare high-impact RFPs, tenders, empanelment applications, presentations, and commercial offers until the lead is successfully closed.

· CRM & Pipeline Discipline: Maintain accurate, real-time updates in the sales pipeline, CRM, daily sales call logs, and lead tracker.

· Client Communication & MoM standard: Share structured Minutes of Meeting (MoM) within 24 hours of completing every client interaction.

· Account Expansion & Retention: Drive client retention, identify repeat business opportunities, and expand existing account revenue.

· Collections & Commercial Support: Ensure timely follow-ups with clients and coordinate with accounts/finance to support cash flow and collections.

· Reporting & Performance Tracking: Submit daily sales call trackers as well as structured weekly and monthly sales performance reports and pipeline forecasts.

Required Skills & Competencies

· Experience: 4–8 years of proven track record in Business Development, Corporate Sales, or Key Account Management within Events, Exhibitions, Experiential Marketing, or Turnkey Spatial Design agencies.

· Client Network: Strong existing relationships with corporate brand managers, marketing heads, corporate communication leads, and trade show organizers.

· Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills in English, with strong negotiation and pitching capabilities.

· Proposal & Pitch Management: Solid understanding of pitch creation, costing, budgeting, RFP response workflows, and commercial structuring.

· Process Discipline: Demonstrated rigor in CRM maintenance, pipeline forecasting, and operational follow-through.

Software & Digital Tools (Preferred)

· CRM & Trackers: Salesforce / Zoho CRM / HubSpot / Excel / Notion for pipeline and lead management.

· Presentation & Pitching: Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva for deck preparation.

· AI & Productivity Tools: ChatGPT / Claude / AI research tools for quick company profiling, MoM drafting, pitch research, and proposal structuring.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
