Job Description

Be in a Tier 1/ 2 support position directly interacting with users calling and fielding IT support tickets escalated in the incident management system
First level troubleshooting on all incidents and service requests
Support Hotline phone incidents
Detailed troubleshooting and documentation, including steps taken to resolve issue, awareness of limitations with current access/knowledge and escalation/collaboration to (with) a tier 2/3 support level team
Providing detailed resolution and if necessary, training to the end user
Be asked to occasionally provide IT project based resource time
User administration in Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
On-Prem corporate Conferencing workshop/meeting support

Key Responsibilities

Training end-users on hardware functionality and software programs
Resolving logged errors in a timely manner
Monitoring hardware, software, and system performance metrics
Maintaining databases and ensuring system security
Documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests
Keeping track of technological advancements and trends in IT support
Oversee the performance of the organization’s computer systems daily, and take note of any discrepancies or changes
Respond to people’s questions regarding a problem with a specific computer, program or piece of equipment
Run tests on a computer or piece of software before giving it back to the individual, and recommend anything that can be done to prevent the issue in the future
Install new electronic equipment as it is acquired by the company
Maintain records of all troubleshooting jobs completed, and input data into online storage so that it can be recalled when a similar issue comes up in the future
Update company’s security system regularly, and pinpoint any potential breaches that could take place

Advanced networking / troubleshooting

Education Qualification/Exoerience

College Diploma from an IT program
Industry designations (A+, Network+, Security+, MCSE or MCP) are considered favorable
Self-motivated, strong initiative, integrity, team player
Customer service training
Demonstrated strong technical troubleshooting abilities
Excellent communication skills"
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a large Enterprise technical support role
