Role Overview:
The role will serve as the engine for strengthening the fee-based sales pipeline by driving demand generation, improving lead quality, and ensuring consistent funnel visibility for leadership decision-making. The incumbent will dedicate approximately two-thirds of their efforts toward pipeline creation and demand generation, including market outreach, prospect engagement, lead qualification, and nurturing opportunities until they are sales-ready for the Business Development team. This role owns source sales data for the fee-based BD function. The remaining one-third will focus on sales analytics, MIS governance, and CRM excellence, ensuring robust pipeline reporting, conversion tracking, forecasting accuracy, and data integrity across the fee-based BD ecosystem. Through disciplined reporting and insights, the role will enable the AGM and Director to assess funnel health, identify gaps, and drive revenue growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demand Generation

Generate leads through cold calling, email sequences, LinkedIn outreach, institutional research and references.

Build and enrich a target-account database against the agreed Ideal Customer Profile.

Conduct introductory presentations explaining MSU's Awarding Body offering.

Reconcile self-sourced leads against the Marketing funnel so the two pipelines do not duplicate or double-count.
2. Qualification & Handover

Qualify prospects on business potential, operational capability, budget, authority and timeline.

Schedule qualified meetings and demonstrations for the BD team and ensure clean context handover.

Nurture leads on the agreed cadence; ensure no lead goes stale beyond 14 days.
3. Sales MIS & Pipeline Reporting
-
Publish weekly and monthly pipeline, funnel and conversion reports for the fee-based BD team.

Maintain CRM data integrity: deduplication, stage hygiene, ownership accuracy, activity logging.

Track lead-source performance and report conversion by channel.
-
Submit verified fee-based sales data to the Director's Office for consolidation into the Awarding Body.
Qualifications & Skills Required:

Graduate essential; MBA preferred.

2-5 years in lead generation, pre-sales, inside sales or sales operations.

EdTech, skilling, training or B2B services background preferred.

Comfort with numbers is essential, this is not a pure calling role.

Cold calling and structured lead qualification

LinkedIn Sales Navigator and email sequencing tools.

Advanced MS Excel - pivot tables, lookups, basic modelling.

Zoho CRM reporting and Zoho Analytics (or comparable);
-
Exposure to Power BI is an advantage, not a requirement.

Clear spoken English and Hindi.
Note: Travel for maximum 2 days per month will be there.
