We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the overall Finance and Accounts function of the organization.
The CFO will be responsible for financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital, profitability, banking, fundraising, taxation, compliance, audit, internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance.
The candidate will work closely with the MD/CEO and Board of Directors to drive business growth, improve profitability, optimize capital utilization, and support strategic expansion.
Candidates with prior experience in IPO planning, IPO readiness, capital market transactions, fundraising, financial restructuring, and coordination with Merchant Bankers, SEBI, Stock Exchanges, Auditors, and Legal Advisors will be highly preferred.

Job Purpose
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for leading the overall financial strategy, financial operations, planning, controls, compliance, risk management, fundraising, and long-term financial growth of the organization.
The CFO will work closely with the Managing Director, CEO, and Board of Directors to drive profitability, sustainable growth, business expansion, capital planning, investor confidence, and future IPO readiness.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES1. Financial Strategy & Business Planning
- Develop and implement the overall financial strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term business plans.
- Provide strategic financial advice and recommendations to the MD/CEO and Board of Directors.
- Analyze business performance and identify opportunities for revenue growth and profitability improvement.
- Support strategic business expansion, acquisitions, mergers, and new business initiatives.
- Evaluate financial feasibility and Return on Investment (ROI) for new projects and investments.
- Develop long-term capital and financial growth strategies.
2. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the complete Finance and Accounts function of the organization.
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor and analyze Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Establish strong Management Information Systems (MIS) for senior management decision-making.
- Ensure accurate, transparent, and timely financial reporting.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop company-wise, business-wise, project-wise, and location-wise profitability analysis.
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process.
- Develop short-term and long-term financial plans.
- Monitor departmental and business unit budgets.
- Ensure optimum utilization of company resources.
- Identify deviations from financial plans and implement corrective measures.
- Support management in achieving financial and profitability targets.
4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Manage the company's overall cash flow and liquidity requirements.
- Develop effective working capital management strategies.
- Monitor receivables, payables, collections, and payment cycles.
- Improve collection efficiency and reduce outstanding receivables.
- Ensure availability of sufficient funds for business operations and expansion.
- Optimize utilization of working capital and banking facilities.
- Prepare regular cash flow forecasts and fund requirement plans.
5. Banking, Fund Raising & Capital Management
- Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors, and lenders.
- Manage banking facilities including working capital limits, term loans, overdrafts, and other financial instruments.
- Lead fundraising and capital raising initiatives.
- Evaluate debt and equity financing opportunities.
- Negotiate financial terms with banks and financial institutions.
- Support business restructuring and capital restructuring initiatives.
- Develop strategies for optimum capital utilization and financial leverage.
6. IPO Readiness, IPO Launch & Capital Market Experience
- Lead and manage the company's IPO planning, IPO readiness, and listing strategy.
- Develop the financial systems, controls, governance framework, and reporting structure required for IPO readiness.
- Coordinate with Merchant Bankers, SEBI advisors, Stock Exchanges, legal advisors, auditors, registrars, and other stakeholders.
- Manage IPO-related financial due diligence and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations and capital market requirements.
- Support preparation of financial disclosures and regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate the preparation of investor presentations and financial information.
- Support company valuation and capital structuring activities.
- Participate in investor meetings, roadshows, and investor relations activities.
- Lead pre-IPO financial restructuring and corporate governance initiatives.
- Ensure strong internal financial controls and transparent reporting systems.
- Support post-listing financial reporting and investor communication requirements.
7. Taxation, Compliance & Statutory Requirements
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee Income Tax, GST, TDS, Companies Act, and other applicable laws.
- Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns and financial reports.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Develop systems to minimize compliance risks.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of statutory records.
8. Audit & Internal Financial Controls
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and other financial consultants.
- Ensure timely completion of statutory and internal audits.
- Develop and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Establish financial policies, procedures, and approval mechanisms.
- Address audit observations and ensure timely closure.
- Prevent financial irregularities, leakages, and fraud.
- Establish strong checks and balances across financial operations.
9. Risk Management
- Identify financial, operational, and business risks.
- Develop strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Monitor exposure to credit, liquidity, and market risks.
- Develop contingency plans for financial challenges.
- Ensure appropriate insurance and risk protection mechanisms are in place.
10. Business Performance & Profitability Management
- Monitor company-wide revenue, profitability, EBITDA, and cash generation.
- Analyze profitability company-wise, business-wise, project-wise, customer-wise, and location-wise.
- Identify cost reduction and efficiency improvement opportunities.
- Support commercial and pricing decisions through detailed financial analysis.
- Monitor operational expenses and overhead costs.
- Drive initiatives to improve EBITDA and overall business profitability.
- Support management in improving shareholder value.
11. Corporate Governance & Board Reporting
- Establish strong corporate governance and financial discipline across the organization.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for the Board of Directors.
- Participate in Board meetings and strategic business discussions.
- Provide accurate financial insights to support major management decisions.
- Ensure transparency and accountability in financial operations.
- Support implementation of Board-approved financial policies and strategies.
12. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, develop, and mentor the Finance & Accounts team.
- Build a high-performing finance leadership structure.
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance standards.
- Coordinate closely with Operations, HR, Business Development, Procurement, and other departments.
- Drive automation and digital transformation in finance processes.
- Improve efficiency through ERP systems, dashboards, MIS, and technology solutions.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Highly Preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum 15–20 years of overall experience in Finance, Accounts, and Financial Management.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a senior leadership role such as CFO, Finance Director, VP Finance, or Head of Finance.
- Proven experience in financial strategy, business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management.
- Strong experience in cash flow and working capital management.
- Experience in banking, fundraising, debt management, and capital structuring.
- Strong knowledge of taxation, audit, statutory compliance, and corporate governance.
- Experience in managing multi-company, multi-location, or group company financial operations.
IPO Experience – Mandatory / Highly Preferred
- Prior experience in successfully managing, leading, or supporting an IPO process.
- Experience in IPO planning, IPO readiness, pre-IPO restructuring, and listing processes.
- Experience working with Merchant Bankers, SEBI, Stock Exchanges, Auditors, Legal Advisors, and Registrars.
- Knowledge of SEBI regulations, listing requirements, corporate governance, and investor relations.
- Experience in financial due diligence and regulatory disclosures related to IPO transactions.
- Experience in capital markets, fundraising, equity transactions, or corporate restructuring will be highly preferred.
