Full job description

Job Description: As the Manager - Google Sys Admin & IT Technical Support, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day administration and operational management of our Google Workspace tenant. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a reliable collaboration platform, resolving complex technical issues, and administering user access and security configurations. You will work closely with various teams, including Service Desk, Infrastructure, and Security, to deliver exceptional IT services while adhering to operational standards and service level agreements. This role offers opportunities to lead and mentor a team, drive process improvements, and contribute to the overall success of our modern workplace environment.

Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Google Workspace administrators, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective administration.
Oversee the implementation and enforcement of security policies and access controls within the Google Workspace environment.
Monitor and optimize the performance and reliability of Google Workspace services, identifying and resolving any technical issues or bottlenecks.
Collaborate with Information Security teams to address user-related security concerns and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Review and analyze administrative audit logs and security reports to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
Conduct periodic access reviews and user permission validations to maintain a secure and controlled access environment.
Support the implementation of approved configuration changes and service improvements, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
Assist with remote onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless user experience and accurate user lifecycle management.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
Stay updated with the latest Google Workspace features, best practices, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5-7 years of experience in Google Workspace administration, with a proven track record of leading and managing a team.
Strong hands-on experience with the Google Workspace Admin Console and a deep understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
Expertise in managing users, Organizational Units (OUs), Google Groups, Shared Drives, and delegated administration, ensuring efficient user management.
Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to independently resolve complex Tier 2 issues and provide effective solutions.
Experience in implementing and supporting Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), access controls, and security policies within Google Workspace.
Familiarity with audit logs, security reporting, and administrative compliance activities, ensuring a secure and compliant environment.
Working knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles and best practices, with the ability to design and implement effective access controls.
Experience supporting Windows and macOS end-user environments, ensuring a seamless integration of Google Workspace with various operating systems.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide clear guidance to team members.
