Shop Culture is a global E-commerce Strategy Consulting and Growth Services firm, working with brands across Beauty, Health & Wellness, FMCG, Electronics, Pet Products, Office Supplies, Automotive, and more. We help businesses grow on leading digital marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, and other e-commerce platforms.

We are expanding our digital advertising team and seeking a results-driven E-commerce Advertising Lead to lead advertising strategy, campaign execution, team performance, and client growth across multiple accounts. If you love diving deep into data, developing high-impact strategies, mentoring teams, and scaling marketplace advertising campaigns, we’d love to hear from you.

Role Overview

As an E-commerce Advertising Lead, you will own the overall advertising strategy and performance for client accounts across platforms such as Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, and Meta/Google (where relevant). You will lead campaign planning and optimization while working closely with Account Managers, Advertising Managers, Content teams, and clients.

This is a performance-centric leadership role for someone who thrives on KPIs, is highly analytical, and can translate data into actionable strategies that drive profitable growth and strong ROAS.

Key ResponsibilitiesAdvertising Strategy & Planning

Develop and lead customized advertising strategies based on client goals, budgets, category dynamics, and growth targets.
Define the right campaign mix across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP, and other relevant ad formats.
Establish budget allocation, targeting structures, bidding strategies, and performance benchmarks.
Identify opportunities for account expansion, new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional events.

Campaign Management & Optimization

Oversee campaign setup, execution, and optimization across Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, and other relevant platforms.
Monitor and improve key performance metrics including ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, CTR, CVR, CPC, and conversion performance.
Review keyword, targeting, bid, placement, and budget strategies to ensure campaigns are performing efficiently.
Conduct regular account audits and identify opportunities to improve campaign structure and profitability.
Ensure consistent testing of new keywords, audiences, targeting strategies, and campaign types.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

Lead and mentor Advertising Managers and PPC team members across client accounts.
Review campaign strategies, optimization plans, and performance reports prepared by the team.
Set performance standards, workflows, and best practices for advertising execution.
Provide strategic guidance and support on complex campaign and account challenges.
Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure the team is aligned with client objectives and business goals.

Reporting & Business Insights

Oversee weekly and monthly advertising performance reports with clear insights, trends, and recommendations.
Analyze performance at the account, ASIN, campaign, keyword, and targeting levels.
Use tools such as Amazon Brand Analytics, Search Query Performance, Helium 10, Pacvue, Perpetua, and Data Studio to identify growth opportunities.
Translate advertising data into actionable recommendations for clients and internal teams.
Track account-level KPIs and proactively address performance gaps.

Client Communication & Collaboration

Participate in client meetings and confidently present advertising performance, strategy, and action plans.
Build strong relationships with clients and act as a strategic advertising partner.
Work closely with Account Managers and Content teams to align PPC strategy with listing optimization, promotions, and seasonal calendars.
Recommend growth initiatives, promotional strategies, and advertising investments based on business objectives.

Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills)

Experience: 4–6+ years of experience in e-commerce performance marketing/PPC, with strong hands-on Amazon Ads experience. Prior experience leading a PPC or advertising team is preferred.
Marketplace Expertise: Strong understanding of Amazon advertising formats, targeting, bidding, campaign structures, and optimization. Experience with DSP, Walmart Connect, Meta, or Google Ads is a strong plus.
Analytical: Excellent understanding of advertising KPIs including ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, CVR, CTR, CPC, and profitability metrics.
Tools: Hands-on experience with Amazon Ads Console, Helium 10, Pacvue, Perpetua, Data Studio, Excel, and other advertising/analytics platforms.
Leadership: Ability to mentor, manage, and develop advertising team members while maintaining high performance standards.
Strategic Thinker: Able to understand the broader client business while identifying and solving day-to-day campaign performance issues.
Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to campaign structure, budget allocation, optimization, reporting, and execution quality.
Client-Focused: Confident communicator with the ability to present performance insights and strategic recommendations to clients.
Results-Driven: Strong ownership mindset with a focus on profitable growth, scalability, and measurable business outcomes.
