Full job description

Position: MIS Executive – Accounts & Finance
Department: Accounts & Finance
Location: KPHB Colony, Hyderabad
Reporting To: Finance Manager / Accounts Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time

1. Job Purpose

The MIS Executive – Accounts & Finance will be responsible for preparing, analysing, and maintaining financial and accounting MIS reports. The role involves collecting financial data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness, preparing management reports, monitoring financial performance, and providing timely insights to the Accounts & Finance team and management.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Financial MIS & Reporting

Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial MIS reports.
Prepare Branch-wise, Department-wise, and Company-wise financial reports.
Prepare management reports on revenue, expenses, receivables, payables, cash flow, and profitability.
Prepare Budget vs. Actual reports and analyse major variances.
Prepare monthly financial dashboards for management review.
Provide ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required by management.

B. Accounts Data Analysis

Collect and consolidate financial data from different branches, departments, and accounting systems.
Verify accounting data and identify discrepancies, unusual transactions, and missing information.
Coordinate with Accounts teams to resolve data mismatches.
Analyse income and expenditure trends and provide meaningful observations.
Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and prepare ageing reports.
Assist in analysing branch-wise and department-wise expenses.

C. Bank & Cash MIS

Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statement (BRS) MIS and track unreconciled transactions.
Prepare daily/monthly bank balance reports.
Monitor cash balances and prepare cash flow statements/MIS.
Track bank transactions, deposits, withdrawals, and pending entries.
Coordinate with Accounts teams for timely reconciliation of bank transactions.

D. Receivables & Payables MIS

Prepare Accounts Receivable (AR) ageing reports.
Prepare Accounts Payable (AP) ageing reports.
Track customer/party outstanding balances.
Monitor overdue receivables and provide regular follow-up reports.
Prepare vendor payment status reports.
Analyse outstanding balances and highlight long-pending items to management.

E. Expense & Cost Analysis

Prepare monthly expense reports and compare actual expenses with budgets.
Analyse major variations in expenses.
Prepare branch-wise and department-wise cost reports.
Monitor recurring and exceptional expenses.
Highlight unusual or excess expenditure to the Finance Manager.

F. Payroll & Statutory MIS

Prepare payroll-related MIS reports in coordination with the HR/Payroll team.
Prepare salary cost reports and department-wise/branch-wise payroll analysis.
Assist in preparing MIS related to PF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS, and other statutory payments.
Track statutory payment status and maintain reporting records.

G. Month-End Closing Support

Support the Accounts team during monthly and annual closing activities.
Prepare schedules and supporting MIS required for month-end closing.
Track pending accounting entries and reconciliation items.
Assist in preparing management reports after monthly closing.
Coordinate with Accounts personnel to ensure timely submission of financial information.

Branch-wise Expense Report
Budget vs. Actual Report
Profitability MIS
Accounts Receivable Ageing Report
Accounts Payable Ageing Report
Customer Outstanding Report
Vendor Outstanding Report
Bank Reconciliation MIS
Cash & Bank Balance Report
Cash Flow MIS
Payroll Cost MIS
Statutory Payment MIS
Monthly Closing MIS
Branch-wise Financial Performance Report
Management Dashboard
Ad-hoc Financial Analysis Reports

4. MS Excel Skills – Mandatory

The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of MS Excel, including:
