Job Title: Document Controller / Planner - Mixed-Use Development Construction Project

Job Summary: JLL is seeking an experienced Document Controller/Planner to manage and oversee all documentation aspects of our mixed-use development construction project in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in document management and planning within the construction industry and experience with various document management systems. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient information flow, maintaining accurate records, and supporting project compliance and transparency and planning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain a comprehensive document control system for the project
Manage the receipt, registration, distribution, and filing of all project documents
Ensure all documents are properly coded, indexed, and stored according to project standards
Maintain version control and track document revisions throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinate document reviews and approvals among various project stakeholders
Prepare and distribute regular document status reports to the project team
Manage access rights and security for project documentation
Assist in the preparation and compilation of project reports, presentations, and other deliverables
Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with document control procedures
Provide training and support to team members on document control processes and systems
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to improve document management processes
Assist in the closeout and archiving of project documentation
Prepare Project Schedule
Track project schedule.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BE Civil) or any graduate degree
6-10 years of experience in document control, Planning activities, preferably in construction or real estate development projects
Proven experience in managing documentation aspects of construction management
Strong knowledge of document control principles and best practices
Proficiency in document management software and systems
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word
Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi (knowledge of Marathi is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of multiple document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Primavera Unifier, SharePoint)
Understanding of construction processes and terminology
Experience with electronic document management and collaboration tools
Key Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proactive approach to identifying and resolving documentation issues
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Adaptability to changing project requirements and new technologies
