Job Description: Accounts & Finance Manager
Position Title: Accounts & Finance Manager
Location: Kudasan, Gandhinagar

Role Overview

The Accounts & Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the organization’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting, statutory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. The role requires strong expertise in Indian accounting standards, taxation, and financial management, along with the ability to lead a finance team and support management in strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Operations

Oversee and manage end-to-end accounting functions, including journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations, and closing of books.
Ensure timely preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain accurate records of general ledger, fixed assets, depreciation, provisions, and accruals.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund utilization to ensure financial stability.

2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including GST, Income Tax, TDS, TCS, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and other applicable laws.
Review and file GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings within prescribed timelines.
Coordinate with external consultants for income tax assessments, notices, and statutory audits.
Ensure timely payment of statutory dues and avoid penalties or non-compliance.

3. Budgeting, MIS & Financial Analysis

Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and periodic financial projections.
Monitor budget utilization and perform variance analysis with corrective recommendations.
Develop and present MIS reports to management covering revenue, expenses, profitability, and key financial indicators.
Support management with financial insights for business planning and decision-making.

4. Audit, Controls & Risk Management

Coordinate internal, statutory, and tax audits and ensure smooth audit closure.
Establish, monitor, and strengthen internal financial controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Address audit observations and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

5. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination

Lead, guide, and supervise the accounts and finance team to ensure efficient operations.
Allocate work, review outputs, and ensure adherence to timelines and accuracy standards.
Coordinate with HR, operations, sales, procurement, and external stakeholders for finance-related matters.
Liaise with banks, auditors, consultants, and statutory authorities as required.

6. Banking, Treasury & Credit Control

Manage banking operations including reconciliations, limits, and documentation.
Handle loan accounts, interest calculations, renewals, and compliance with banking covenants.
Monitor receivables, payables, and credit control to maintain healthy cash flow.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com or equivalent qualification.

Experience

5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
Prior experience in manufacturing, Automobile dealership, IT, or service industry preferred.
Strong hands-on experience in statutory compliance and taxation.

Skills & Competencies

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, GST, income tax, and statutory compliances.
Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems / SAP / MS Excel and MIS reporting.
Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Timely and accurate financial reporting.
Compliance with statutory requirements without penalties.
Effective budget control and cost management.
Successful audit completion with minimal observations.
