Job Overview
Vortexen Dynamics Industrial Solutions is establishing its Firestopping, Passive Fire Protection, and Protective Coating operations in India.
We are looking for our first key employee in Delhi NCR who can support the company in building the business from the initial stage. The selected candidate will be responsible for client development, supplier coordination, project execution, team building, site management, documentation, approvals, and applicator coordination.
This is a senior and responsible position suitable for a candidate who can independently develop and handle Firestopping and Passive Fire Protection activities across Delhi NCR and later support Pan-India expansion.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development and Client Management
- Identify potential clients, contractors, consultants, developers, EPC companies, industrial companies, hospitals, airports, data centres, hotels, commercial buildings, infrastructure projects, and government projects.
- Arrange meetings with clients, consultants, main contractors, and project decision-makers.
- Generate enquiries, project opportunities, RFQs, tenders, and subcontracting opportunities.
- Conduct technical and commercial discussions with clients.
- Follow up on proposals, negotiations, purchase orders, contracts, and payments.
- Develop long-term relationships with construction, infrastructure, industrial, and government-sector clients.
Supplier and Manufacturer Coordination
- Identify and coordinate with Firestopping, Passive Fire Protection, and Protective Coating manufacturers and suppliers.
- Arrange meetings with manufacturers, authorised distributors, and technical representatives.
- Coordinate product approvals, technical submittals, samples, training, certifications, and project-specific requirements.
- Obtain technical data sheets, safety data sheets, test certificates, method statements, and product approvals.
- Support the company in developing authorised applicator, contractor, or channel-partner relationships with leading brands.
Project Survey and Estimation
- Visit project sites and conduct detailed Firestopping and Passive Fire Protection surveys.
- Identify penetrations, joints, openings, ducts, cables, pipes, structural steel, and other fire-rated applications.
- Prepare quantity surveys, BOQs, project measurements, scope details, and work requirements.
- Coordinate with the estimation team for pricing and proposal preparation.
- Review drawings, specifications, fire-rating requirements, and consultant comments.
- Support preparation of engineering judgments and system selection in coordination with suppliers.
Project Execution and Coordination
- Plan and oversee Firestopping, Passive Fire Protection, and Coating projects.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, equipment, access, safety requirements, and site approvals.
- Prepare work schedules, manpower plans, material requests, progress reports, and completion schedules.
- Monitor project cost, quality, productivity, timelines, and profitability.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ensure timely completion, inspection, handover, documentation, and payment follow-up.
Applicator and Team Coordination
- Identify and onboard experienced Firestopping applicators, supervisors, technicians, and helpers.
- Build and guide an efficient project execution team.
- Allocate manpower according to project requirements.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, quality, discipline, and safety.
- Arrange product and installation training for applicators.
- Coordinate supplier-led and manufacturer-led technical training.
- Ensure applicators follow approved systems, installation details, and manufacturer instructions.
Documentation and Approvals
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including:
- Method statements
- Material submittals
- Technical data sheets
- Safety data sheets
- Product test reports
- Inspection requests
- Work completion reports
- Daily and weekly progress reports
- Material delivery records
- Installation checklists
- Handover documents
- Warranty documents
- As-built records
- Coordinate consultant, client, contractor, local authority, and government approvals.
- Support company registrations, vendor registrations, prequalifications, tender documentation, and statutory compliance.
- Maintain proper records for all projects, suppliers, clients, and approvals.
Site Supervision and Quality Control
- Oversee daily site activities and supervise Firestopping and Passive Fire Protection installations.
- Ensure work is completed according to approved drawings, tested systems, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
- Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors.
- Identify installation errors and arrange immediate corrective action.
- Ensure proper labelling, traceability, photographs, and inspection records.
- Maintain site safety, housekeeping, and quality standards.
- Conduct toolbox talks and coordinate safety documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire and Safety Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 4–7 years of relevant experience in Firestopping, Passive Fire Protection, Protective Coatings, Fireproofing, or related construction services.
- Strong knowledge of Firestopping systems, penetration seals, fire-rated joints, cable and pipe sealing, and passive fire protection applications.
- Experience in site surveys, estimation, project execution, inspections, documentation, and team coordination.
- Existing relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, consultants, or applicators will be an advantage.
- Understanding of relevant Indian building codes, fire safety requirements, and government approval processes.
- Ability to travel within Delhi NCR and across India when required.
- Strong communication, negotiation, documentation, and leadership skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, email, CRM, and project reporting tools.
- Valid driving licence and own vehicle will be an advantage.
