What You Will Do
You will be responsible for taking a vision-inspection requirement from concept → camera/lens/lighting selection → imaging setup → machine integration → inspection development → commissioning → production deployment.
The role requires someone who is comfortable working at the intersection of machine vision, industrial imaging, automation, motion control, and mechanical machine building.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Machine Vision / Vision Engineer who understands not only image processing but also how a complete industrial inspection machine works.
You should be comfortable answering questions such as:
- Which camera is appropriate for this inspection?
- Should we use an area-scan, line-scan, or 3D camera?
- What lens and resolution are required?
- What type and wavelength of lighting will provide the best image?
- How should the part be positioned and presented to the camera?
- Do we need a conveyor, actuator, or motion stage?
- How should the camera and lighting be mechanically mounted?
- How can the vision system communicate with the PLC and machine?
- How can we achieve reliable inspection performance in a production environment?
If you have 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing industrial machine vision and automated inspection systems, we would like to hear from you.
