Job Description – HR Executive

Position: HR Executive
Industry: International School / Education
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Mode: Work from Office
Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹45,000 per month
Experience: 3–6 years

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and experienced HR Executive to join our International School in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, employee coordination, recruitment, documentation, attendance, and employee engagement.

The candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with hands-on experience in HR operations and recruitment, preferably within a school, education, or service-oriented organization.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day HR operations and employee-related activities.
Handle end-to-end recruitment for teaching and non-teaching staff.
Source candidates through job portals, referrals, recruitment agencies, and other channels.
Screen profiles, conduct initial HR interviews, and coordinate interview schedules.
Coordinate the complete joining and onboarding process for new employees.
Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, and documentation.
Manage attendance, leave records, and employee databases.
Coordinate with management and department heads regarding manpower requirements.
Handle employee queries related to HR policies, attendance, leave, and documentation.
Support payroll processing by providing accurate attendance and employee data.
Assist in implementing and communicating HR policies and procedures.
Manage employee confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit formalities.
Conduct employee engagement activities and support a positive workplace culture.
Prepare HR reports, MIS, and other management reports as required.
Ensure compliance with internal HR policies and applicable employment regulations.
Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and recruitment agencies when required.
Maintain confidentiality of employee and organizational information.

Recruitment Responsibilities

Understand manpower requirements from different departments.
Prepare and post job descriptions on relevant platforms.
Shortlist candidates based on job requirements.
Conduct preliminary HR screening interviews.
Coordinate technical/departmental interviews with the concerned team.
Manage offer letters, salary discussions, documentation, and joining formalities.
Maintain recruitment trackers and monitor open positions until closure.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
3–6 years of experience in HR Operations / Recruitment / Generalist HR.
Prior experience in a school, education institution, or service industry will be preferred.
Experience handling end-to-end recruitment and employee lifecycle processes.
Strong knowledge of HR operations and documentation.
Good understanding of attendance, leave management, payroll coordination, and employee records.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Google Workspace, and HRMS/HR software.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Professional, approachable, and confidential in handling employee matters.

Candidates with experience in an International School, reputed educational institution, or structured organization will be preferred.
