Full job description

Position: Accounts Intern / Junior Accountant
Employment Type: Internship initially, with potential for full-time employment based on performance
Department: Accounts & Finance

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Intern / Junior Accountant to join our team. The selected candidate will initially be taken on a trial internship basis to assess their accounting knowledge, accuracy, discipline, and ability to handle day-to-day financial records.

Based on satisfactory performance during the internship period, the candidate may be offered a full-time position as an Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain daily bookkeeping and accounting records.
Record daily income, expenses, purchases, payments, and receipts.
Track and maintain daily expenses and supporting bills/invoices.
Maintain proper records of vendor and supplier payments.
Maintain customer and vendor ledgers.
Enter and update accounting transactions in Tally.
Reconcile cash and bank transactions regularly.
Maintain records of outstanding payments and receivables.
Assist in preparing invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.
Maintain proper filing of bills, invoices, receipts, and financial documents.
Assist in monthly account closing and preparation of basic financial reports.
Coordinate with management regarding payments, expenses, and accounting records.
Assist the senior accountant/management with GST, TDS, and other statutory accounting requirements as required.
Ensure that all accounting entries are accurate and supported by proper documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Working knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime is required.
Knowledge of MS Excel and basic computer operations.
Good numerical and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidential financial information.
Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work independently and meet daily deadlines.
Freshers with relevant accounting knowledge are welcome to apply.

Internship / Trial Period

The candidate will initially work as an Accounts Intern on a trial basis. During this period, performance will be evaluated based on:

Accuracy of accounting entries.
Knowledge and practical use of Tally.
Ability to maintain daily bookkeeping.
Proper tracking of expenses and payments.
Discipline and punctuality.
Ability to maintain organized financial records.
Learning ability and willingness to take responsibility.

Successful completion of the internship/trial period may lead to a full-time Accountant position, subject to performance and suitability.

Preferred Candidate

The ideal candidate should be someone who is responsible, trustworthy, organized, and comfortable handling day-to-day accounting work. The candidate should have a willingness to learn and gradually take independent responsibility for the company's accounts.

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / relevant accounting qualification preferred
Experience: Freshers may apply; candidates with prior Tally/bookkeeping experience will be preferred.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
