Job Description – Junior Sales Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Junior Sales Engineer to support sales activities, develop customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and provide technical assistance to clients. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to understand industrial products and applications.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development

Identify and approach potential customers through field visits, calls, emails, and networking.
Generate new business opportunities and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Conduct market research to identify customer requirements and industry trends.
Assist in achieving monthly and annual sales targets.

Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Understand customer technical requirements and propose suitable solutions.
Follow up on inquiries, quotations, and order status.
Address customer concerns and coordinate with internal teams for resolution.

Technical Support

Explain product features, specifications, and applications to customers.
Assist in preparing technical and commercial quotations.
Coordinate with suppliers and technical teams for product selection and recommendations.
Support product demonstrations and presentations when required.

Reporting & Documentation

Maintain customer records and sales activities in CRM or company databases.
Prepare daily visit reports, sales reports, and pipeline updates.
Track quotations, inquiries, and order conversions.

Required Skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of engineering concepts and industrial products.
Ability to learn technical products quickly.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
Customer-oriented approach.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Email Communication.
Ability to travel for customer visits when required.

Preferred Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Internship or prior experience in industrial sales will be an advantage.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial automation, tools, machinery, or engineering products is preferred.
