Junior Automation AI Engineer
Position: Junior Automation AI Engineer
Location: Remote, India
Type: Full-Time/Trainee/Internship-to-hire
Experience: 0-2 years. Freshers are encouraged to apply.
Entry Point: KVALITO Hiring Event, Hyderabad.
About the Hyderabad Hiring Event
This role is being filled through a dedicated hiring event in Hyderabad. The process is designed to be fast, fair, and based on what you can actually do, not just what is on your resume.
How the selection works:
- Application: Along with your resume, submit your GitHub/GitLab or portfolio link, a short-written answer to "Describe one process you would automate and why", your availability date, and your location. Do not hesitate to also attach examples of your projects (code, screenshots, demo videos, write-ups, or anything that shows what you have built) directly with your application.
- Online logic and skills test (around 1 hour): If shortlisted, you take an online test covering logic, Python, and your understanding of automation and AI, plus a small practical challenge.
- Onsite live technical interview in Hyderabad: Top candidates are invited to a full-day onsite event. You meet our team, walk through your work, and demonstrate hands-on skills live.
- Use case problem-solving interview: A final round focused on how you think, how you take ownership, and how you work with others to solve a real problem.
Selected candidates can join KVALITO through one of three paths: a full-time role, a trainee program, or an internship-to-hire path. We agree on the right path with you based on your experience, readiness, and goals.
Who are you?
You are at the start of your career, and you are hungry to build things. You see a repetitive manual task and your first instinct is to ask whether a script, a workflow, or an AI agent could handle it. You enjoy figuring out how things work and you do not wait to be told to learn.
You have some hands-on experience, from university projects, internships, hackathons, open source, or personal projects, in at least one of the following:
- Python and general scripting, with a basic grasp of AI and LLM tools (OpenAI APIs, LangChain, prompt engineering, simple agents).
- The Microsoft automation stack (Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Dynamics 365), or a clear willingness to learn it quickly.
You do not need to be an expert in both. We care that you have built something real in one of them and that you can show it. Strong fundamentals beat a long buzzword list.
You communicate clearly in English. You ask good questions, you are honest about what you do not know, and you take ownership of your work. You do not disappear when something gets hard.
You do not need prior experience in life sciences, pharma, or healthcare, and you are not expected to know GxP, GMP, or FDA regulations on day one. But you are curious about the industry we work in. Before the interview, you are expected to read about KVALITO and the life sciences sector and come with thoughtful questions.
What’s great about this role?
- Real work from day one: You will contribute to projects that solve actual business problems for global life sciences and healthcare clients, not toy exercises.
- Modern automation and AI: You will work across Python, AI tooling, and the Microsoft Power Platform, and grow into the stack that fits your strengths.
- Mentorship and structured growth: You will be paired with senior consultants who review your work, give honest feedback, and help you level up fast.
- Three possible paths: Full-time role, trainee program, or internship-to-hire. We pick the path with you based on where you are today.
- Flat hierarchy: You will work directly with leadership and senior consultants, not through layers of management.
- Truly remote: Work from anywhere in India. No office required, ever.
What’s challenging about this role?
- Regulated environments: Life sciences clients have strict validation and documentation rules. You will need to learn this on the job. It is real engineering work, not just paperwork.
- Ambiguity: Real problems rarely come with a clean spec. You will need to ask questions, push back, and propose options.
- High expectations: We are a small, high-performance team. Junior does not mean low standards. You will be expected to grow fast and own your work.
- Remote self-management: Working from home as a junior is harder than it sounds. You need discipline, structure, and the courage to speak up early when stuck.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build automation and AI components under the guidance of senior engineers, using Python, AI/LLM tools, and/or Microsoft Power Platform.
- Participate in discovery sessions with clients and internal teams. Take notes, ask questions, and translate what you hear into clear technical tasks.
- Write clean, readable code and clear technical documentation.
- Test your work thoroughly before handing it over. Fix bugs you find and the ones reported back.
- Support integration work between automation workflows and enterprise systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SharePoint, and APIs.
- Help maintain and improve existing automation and AI components.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and risks proactively. Do not wait until the deadline to flag a problem.
- Learn the basics of working in regulated life sciences environments and apply them in your work.
- Continuously benchmark new Tech Trends
- Train and share knowledge with the team on new trends and technologies
Key Qualifications:
- 0 to 2 years of professional experience. Internships, freelance work, open-source contributions, and significant personal or academic projects count.
- Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience is also welcome.
- Hands-on experience in at least one of: Python scripting and AI/LLM tooling, or Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Exposure to at least one major cloud platform (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), through coursework, certifications, projects, or work experience.
- Solid understanding of programming fundamentals: data structures, control flow, functions, basic algorithms, and version control with Git.
- A public GitHub, GitLab, or portfolio with code or projects we can look at.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Ability to learn quickly and willingness to take feedback seriously.
- Reliable, accountable, and proactive. You finish what you start.
- Willing to travel to Hyderabad for the onsite hiring event.
Nice to have:
- Experience with both Python/AI tooling and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Exposure to LLM applications, prompt engineering, RAG, or simple AI agents.
- Hands-on project work on Azure (Logic Apps, Functions, OpenAI Service), AWS (Lambda, Bedrock, S3), or Google Cloud (Cloud Functions, Vertex AI), or a cloud certification from any of the three.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or another ERP system.
- Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with API integrations.
- Curiosity about life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare. No prior industry knowledge is required, but you should come to the interview with questions and a basic understanding of what KVALITO does.
- Hackathon participation, open-source contributions, or technical blog posts.
- Front-end and back-end development experience (e.g. Python, Node.js, React, or similar frameworks).
Key Competencies:
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage complex scheduling and documentation requirements with precision.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in documentation, ensuring all records comply with regulatory standards.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying potential compliance risks and implementing practical solutions.
- Relationship-Building: Effectively collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to foster alignment and support compliance goals.
You:
- Are driven by impact, passionate about shaping the future of Life Sciences and healthcare through technology and innovation.
- Believe in open communication, speak up, challenge ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions, even with leadership.
- Focus on solutions, not problems, take a proactive approach, looking for ways to improve rather than assigning blame.
- Own your work, take responsibility and accountability seriously, no matter how challenging the situation.
- Commit to excellence, delivering high-performance results while embracing sustainable practices in everything you do.
We:
- Strive to be the best; our mission is to become the world’s leading consulting company, empowering high-performing individuals, regardless of gender or neurotype, to reach their full potential and leave a legacy of diversity, equality, inclusion, and excellence.
- Foster a culture of respect, value integrity, fairness, and the unique contributions of every team member.
- See mistakes as opportunities, embrace challenges, learn from them, and continuously improve.
- Prioritize potential over experience, believe intelligence, values, and growth matter more than the number of years on a résumé.
We believe in
potential, values, and growth, so if this role excites you, let’s connect!
Your KVALITO Team.
