We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team in Coimbatore and drive our business growth in the region.

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and professional Business Development Manager with a strong background in the steel industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, managing key accounts, and expanding our market presence in the South Tamil Nadu region. You will leverage your existing network and industry expertise to build strong relationships with dealers, contractors, engineers, and architects, ensuring the successful closure of business deals.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction, infrastructure, and real estate sectors. Drive sales volume and market share for our steel products (e.g., TMT bars, structural steel).
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including dealers, distributors, project contractors, structural engineers, and architects.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales executives. Set clear targets and ensure team performance meets organizational objectives.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports on sales activities, market trends, and competitor analysis.
Project Coordination: Closely interact with PMC, structural engineers, and contractors to secure business deals for large-scale projects. Manage the distribution of sales tools and materials to regions.
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and identify new market opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree (B.E. preferred). MBA is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in B2B sales and business development, specifically within the steel industry or related sectors (construction, infrastructure).
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of steel products (e.g., TMT bars, structural steel) and their application in construction and infrastructure projects.
Network: Proven track record with an established network of dealers, contractors, and engineers in the Tamil Nadu region.
Skills: Excellent sales and negotiation skills, strong business acumen, ability to motivate and lead a team, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and strong planning and organizational abilities.
Languages: Fluent in Tamil and English. Proficiency in Malayalam is an added advantage.
Other: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Coimbatore and be willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
