Key Responsibilities:
Boomi Integration Development
Design, build, test, deploy, and support Boomi integrations that connect enterprise applications, data sources, APIs, and business processes.
Configure processes, profiles, maps, connectors, document properties, process properties, environment extensions, and deployment packages.
Develop transformations and orchestration logic for JSON, XML, database, API, and file-based interfaces.
Use custom scripting only when needed and document the reason, behavior, dependencies, and support considerations.
API, Event & Data Integration
Build and consume REST and SOAP APIs using secure, versioned, and supportable interface patterns.
Implement batch, near-real-time, event-driven, queue-based, and scheduled integrations based on approved designs.
Apply mapping, validation, deduplication, idempotency, pagination, rate limiting, error handling, retry, and reconciliation controls.
Work with source and target owners to validate field mappings, business rules, data quality, and expected outcomes.
Testing & Release Engineering
Create unit and component tests and support integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.
Participate in peer reviews and resolve findings before release.
Prepare deployment plans, release notes, rollback procedures, validation steps, and production support handoffs.
Follow source control, naming, packaging, promotion, and environment management standards.
Monitoring & Production Support
Build useful logging, alerts, process reporting, and operational diagnostics into every production integration.
Monitor integrations, troubleshoot failures, safely reprocess documents, and communicate impact and recovery status.
Perform root-cause analysis and implement durable fixes for recurring defects.
Maintain support runbooks, interface documentation, schedules, dependencies, and known-error guidance.
Security & Compliance
Use approved authentication, credential, certificate, encryption, and secrets-management patterns.
Protect sensitive data in payloads, logs, process reporting, and nonproduction environments.
Follow access control, segregation of duties, change management, audit, retention, and privacy requirements.
Raise security, data, or operational risks early and support remediation activities.
Agile Delivery & Collaboration
Participate actively in backlog refinement, estimation, sprint planning, daily coordination, demos, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with architects, technical leads, QA, product owners, analysts, application teams, and vendors.
Clarify requirements and acceptance criteria before development and document assumptions and open decisions.
Provide accurate status, identify blockers early, and deliver working integrations that meet agreed quality standards.
Continuous Learning & AI-Enabled Engineering
Create and reuse templates, shared components, mapping patterns, and troubleshooting guidance.
Use approved AI-assisted tools for coding, testing, analysis, and documentation with human review and validation.
Apply agentic programming practices by defining clear goals and constraints, decomposing work for approved coding agents, supplying relevant context, and supervising multi-step code, test, documentation, and troubleshooting workflows.
Contribute lessons learned from incidents and delivery work to team standards and reusable assets.
Continuously improve platform knowledge through training, certification, pairing, and technical communities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of enterprise integration development experience, including 2+ years of hands-on Boomi development.
Hands-on experience with Boomi processes, profiles, maps, connectors, environment extensions, deployment, and process reporting.
Experience integrating APIs, databases, flat files, SFTP, queues, and SaaS applications.
Working knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, SQL, data mapping, and common authentication methods.
Ability to implement robust error handling, retries, logging, alerts, reconciliation, and safe reprocessing.
Experience with unit testing, peer review, technical documentation, release support, and production troubleshooting.
Understanding of secure coding, credential protection, least privilege, encryption, and sensitive-data handling.
Ability to work effectively in an Agile delivery team and communicate clearly with technical and functional partners.
Hands-on experience with agentic programming, including directing approved AI coding agents, reviewing plans and changes, validating generated code through tests and security checks, and retaining human accountability for
