Job Title : Purchase Executive - Mediyant

Salary band : As per Industry standard

Reports To : Chief Operating Officer

Skills & Qualifications -

Education:

● Bachelor's degree Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic (Supply Chain Management, Business

Administration, Commerce, or a related field (preferred)

Experience:

● 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain management, or a related field.

● Experience in vendor development, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations.

Job Summary –

The Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the process to ensure the timely and cost-effective

purchase of materials, components, and services required by the organization. This role focuses on vendor

management, strategic sourcing, price negotiations, purchase planning, and maintaining uninterrupted

supply operations. The executive will build strong supplier relationships, evaluate vendor performance,

ensure compliance with quality standards, and implement cost-saving initiatives to support organizational

goals and operational efficiency.

Technical & Core Skills:

● Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word,

PowerPoint).

● Knowledge of purchase planning, inventory management, and supply chain processes.

● Familiarity with RFQ, PO, vendor evaluation, and cost analysis procedures.

● Develop and support new products while managing procurement requirements for refurbishment

projects.

● Understand mechanical and electrical components to effectively coordinate with manufacturing

and suppliers.

● Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms.

● Analyse procurement needs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and mitigate supply chain risks.

● Coordinate with multiple vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement and

compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate closely with internal departments to analyse procurement requirements, optimize

purchasing decisions, and support business objectives through data-driven reporting.

2. Evaluate products, components, and accessories to ensure compliance with quality standards,

specifications, and operational requirements.

3. Monitor inventory levels, analyse stock status, and proactively initiate purchase orders to maintain

uninterrupted supply and operational efficiency.

4. Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, vendor details, and

delivery information, while generating daily and periodic procurement reports.

5. Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery, verify received materials against purchase

orders, and coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient storage and inventory control.

6. Research, identify, evaluate, and on board qualified suppliers through a structured vendor

registration and assessment process.

7. Conduct supplier comparisons, cost analyses, and market research to support strategic sourcing

decisions and achieve cost optimization goals.

8. Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contractual agreements with suppliers to secure the best

value while maintaining quality and service standards, Assist with Purchase Officer.

9. Utilize ERP systems and internal databases to accurately record and manage procurement

transactions, vendor information, and purchasing activities.

10. Apply strong analytical and supply chain management skills to identify opportunities for process

improvement, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.

11. Build and maintain effective supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality performance, and

long-term business partnerships.

12. Stay informed about industry developments, emerging technologies, and market trends by

participating in trade shows, exhibitions, and supplier engagement activities.
