Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Plant Manager to take complete charge of our pharmaceutical intermediates manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate must have strong industrial knowledge with direct experience handling Thionyl Chloride (SOCl₂) and other hazardous reagents in a chemical or pharma manufacturing setup. The Plant Manager will be responsible for all production operations, workforce supervision, plant upkeep, and most importantly — consistently achieving all production targets provided by management. - Maximize plant output, minimize batch cycle times, and reduce raw material and solvent losses to improve profitability
- Track and report production vs. target numbers to management regularly; proactively flag shortfalls with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Optimize manpower, equipment utilization, and shift planning to ensure the plant runs at full capacity
- Maintain accurate batch manufacturing records (BMRs), production logs, and shift reports
- Coordinate with management for raw material procurement, production planning, and dispatch scheduling
Plant Operations & Thionyl Chloride Handling
- Hands-on operation and supervision of reactor charging, heating/cooling cycles, reflux, distillation, filtration, and drying operations
- Handle and supervise all operations involving Thionyl Chloride (SOCl₂) — safe receipt, storage, controlled reactor charging, and HCl/SO₂ off-gas scrubbing

Team Supervision — Operators & Helpers
- Lead, supervise, and manage all operators and helpers on the plant floor
- Assign duties, set shift schedules, and ensure proper manning across all shifts
