Full job description

Job Title: Accounts & Finance Manager

Location: Hilite Business Park, Calicut, Kerala
Salary Package: ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month
Accommodation: Company-provided accommodation

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Accounts & Finance Manager to oversee the company's accounting, finance, taxation, compliance, and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring statutory compliance, preparing financial reports, monitoring cash flow, and supporting management with financial planning and business decision-making.

Candidates with prior experience in the Electronics Retail or E-Commerce industry will be preferred, as the role requires an understanding of inventory-based business operations, multi-channel sales, and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts & Financial Operations

Manage and oversee daily accounting and finance operations.
Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
Supervise Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation processes.
Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of all financial transactions.
Monitor inventory accounting and stock-related financial transactions.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Generate MIS reports and management reports on a timely basis.
Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Conduct variance analysis and monitor key financial metrics.
Assist management in strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Budgeting & Cash Flow Management

Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget utilization and report deviations.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and fund requirements.
Ensure effective utilization of company resources and financial assets.

Taxation & Compliance

Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory regulations.
Prepare and review tax filings and statutory returns.
Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Team Management

Lead and supervise the accounts and finance team.
Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
Foster a collaborative and performance-driven work environment.

Process Improvement & Controls

Develop and strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
Ensure financial accuracy, transparency, and compliance across all operations.
Implement cost-control initiatives to improve business performance.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:

M.Com (Master of Commerce)
MBA Finance
ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
CMA (Cost and Management Accountant)
CA (Chartered Accountant)

Required Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience in Accounts and Finance.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a Manager, Team Leader, Assistant Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of:
Financial Accounting
GST Compliance
Income Tax & TDS
Financial Reporting
Budgeting & Forecasting
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Cash Flow Management
Working Capital Management
Audit Coordination
Cost Control & Profitability Analysis
Statutory Compliance and Internal Controls
Experience in the Electronics Retail Industry or E-Commerce Sector is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Odoo ERP (Preferred).
Working knowledge of Zoho Books and other Zoho applications will be an added advantage.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
Ability to prepare and analyze MIS reports and financial dashboards.
