Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and result-oriented HR Recruiter / HR Executive with experience in the FMCG, beverage, food and beverage, packaged drinking water, consumer goods, or related industries.
The candidate will be responsible for building ONZ’s sales, distribution, operations and manufacturing teams through end-to-end recruitment. This includes hiring Sales Heads, Regional and Area Sales Managers, Sales Executives, Machine Operators, Production Staff and other operational employees.
The ideal candidate should understand FMCG sales, distributor networks, general trade operations, field-based roles and manufacturing requirements, and should be capable of independently sourcing, screening, interviewing and closing candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Workforce Planning
* Manage end-to-end recruitment for sales, distribution, factory, production and operations roles.
* Recruit Sales Heads, Regional Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers, Territory Sales Managers, Sales Executives, Sales Officers and other field personnel across multiple locations.
* Recruit Machine Operators, Production, Quality, Packing, Warehouse, Dispatch and other factory staff.
* Source candidates through industry networks, referrals, job portals, LinkedIn, consultants and FMCG-specific channels.
* Screen candidates based on industry experience, market knowledge, distributor relationships, sales performance and role suitability.
* Coordinate interviews, offer negotiations, joining formalities and onboarding.
* Build and maintain candidate pipelines for FMCG, beverage, distribution, sales and manufacturing roles.
* Coordinate with management, sales, production, quality and operations teams to identify manpower requirements and close vacancies promptly.
* Ensure candidates understand job responsibilities, location, shift timings and operational requirements before joining.
* Support recruitment drives and local hiring activities when required.
HR Operations and Compliance
* Manage employee onboarding, appointment letters, employee files and HR documentation.
* Maintain attendance, leave, headcount and employee records for sales, distribution, factory and support functions.
* Support payroll data collection, employee communication, grievance handling, engagement and retention initiatives.
* Coordinate applicable statutory and labour compliance, including PF, ESI, professional tax, statutory registers and manufacturing-related requirements.
* Liaise with consultants, auditors and management to maintain accurate, organised and audit-ready records.
Reporting and MIS
* Maintain weekly recruitment and manpower reports.
* Track vacancies, candidates screened and interviewed, offers released, joining status and recruitment turnaround time.
* Report recruitment progress and manpower gaps by zone, department and function.
* Maintain recruitment pipelines and compliance trackers.
* Provide regular updates to management on hiring progress, headcount and workforce availability.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Time taken to close vacancies.
* Number, quality and industry relevance of successful hires.
* Candidate joining and initial retention rates.
* Availability of sales manpower across zones.
* Availability of factory manpower and machine operators.
* Quality of candidates recruited for distributor, general trade and field sales roles.
* Accuracy of HR documentation and employee records.
* Timely completion of statutory and HR compliance activities.
* Reduction in recruitment dependency on candidates without relevant industry experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Graduate degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
* 2–5 years of experience in recruitment and HR operations within the FMCG, beverage, food and beverage, packaged drinking water, consumer goods or related industries.
* Prior experience recruiting sales, distribution, factory and operations teams is preferred.
* Experience hiring FMCG sales teams across multiple locations is essential.
* Knowledge of distributor management, general trade, modern trade, field sales, manufacturing, food processing, packaging or beverage production is an advantage.
* Strong industry network and candidate sourcing capability.
* Strong screening, interview coordination, negotiation and follow-up skills.
* Ability to manage multiple vacancies independently.
* Knowledge of basic labour law and statutory compliance.
* Good communication, ownership and organisational skills.
* Willingness to travel locally for recruitment drives, factory hiring and employee coordination when required.
Mandatory Industry Preference
Candidates must have prior experience in the same or a closely related industry, including:
* FMCG
* Beverages
* Packaged drinking water
* Food and beverage
* Consumer goods
* Food processing
* Beverage manufacturing
* FMCG distribution
* General trade sales and distribution
Candidates without relevant experience in these industries may not be considered.
Compensation
Suggested Salary Range: ₹3.6 lakh to ₹5.5 lakh CTC per annum, depending on relevant industry experience, recruitment capability and overall suitability.
