A1 SKC Food Products Pvt. Ltd. — Pure Cow Ghee, Since 1975
About the company
A1 SKC Food Products Pvt. Ltd. (formerly Sri Kannan & Co.) has been a trusted manufacturer of pure cow ghee in Tamil Nadu since 1975, proudly completing its Golden Jubilee — 50 years — in 2025. We control quality end to end through our own milk plants at Vazhapadi (Salem) and Denkanikottai (Hosur), producing cow butter in-house and manufacturing ghee under strict hygiene standards, with Gas Chromatography (GC) lab testing on every batch.
With a strong reputation across institutional and retail channels in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, we are now investing in modern brand-building, wider retail activation, a growing online presence, and expansion into export markets. This role sits at the centre of that growth.
About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on, organised marketer to strengthen the A1 SKC brand at every consumer touchpoint — from the retail shelf and residential communities to social media and trade expos. Working closely with the E-Commerce Manager, you’ll make the brand visible, consistent, and memorable on the ground while coordinating all marketing collateral and event presence. It’s an ideal role for someone early in their marketing career who enjoys both planning and execution, and who can juggle vendors, designers, and events without losing attention to detail.
Key responsibilities
Branding & brand activation
- Plan and execute in-shop and retail branding — shelf displays, danglers, posters, standees, and point-of-sale material — to ensure strong product visibility.
- Coordinate with retailers and the sales team to secure prime shelf/display space and maintain merchandising standards.
- Run in-store sampling, tasting, and promotional activities to drive trial and conversion.
- Plan and run promotions in apartments, gated communities, and local neighbourhoods — sampling drives, festival offers, and doorstep awareness campaigns.
- Build local relationships (RWAs, community organisers) for recurring activations, and coordinate the manpower, samples, and materials for each.
Social media & digital
- Manage day-to-day social media across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp — content calendar, posting, community engagement, and responding to comments/messages.
- Build content around the brand’s heritage (50 years), purity story, recipes, festivals, and customer testimonials.
- Support the online/e-commerce brand presence alongside the E-Commerce Manager.
- Coordinate product and campaign photo/video shoots; create simple creatives in Canva or basic editing tools.
- Track basic metrics (reach, engagement, followers) and report monthly.
Paid advertising & media buying
- Plan and run paid campaigns across Instagram, Facebook, Google, and YouTube to reach the right audience.
- Handle media buying across digital and, where relevant, local traditional media (newspaper, radio, outdoor/hoardings) within approved budgets.
- Time campaigns around festivals and seasonal demand for maximum impact.
- Track ad performance (reach, CPM, CPC, ROAS) and optimise spend toward the best-performing campaigns.
- Coordinate with agencies/platforms for larger media buys (TV, large-format outdoor) as required.
Brand consistency
- Act as guardian of the brand identity — keep logo, colours, tone, and messaging consistent across every poster, post, stall, and package.
- Maintain a central library of approved brand assets and templates.
Marketing & events (expos)
- Own trade expos, food exhibitions, and B2B events end to end — identifying relevant events, budgeting, registration, and scheduling.
- Plan booth requirements and coordinate stall design, fabrication, branding, and setup/teardown.
- Manage logistics: samples, display stock, brochures, banners, giveaways, travel, and staffing.
- Be present on-site to run the stall smoothly and represent the brand professionally.
- Drive footfall through pre-event promotion; capture leads and feedback, and hand qualified leads to the sales team.
- Prepare a post-event report (footfall, leads, cost, learnings) for each event.
- Represent A1 SKC to distributors, retailers, institutional buyers, and prospective export partners, including at export-focused exhibitions.
Design & creative coordination
- Coordinate all marketing collateral — posters, print/digital ads, brochures, leaflets, packaging inserts, and social creatives.
- Work with in-house designers, freelancers, and printing vendors to deliver quality output on time and on budget.
- Write clear creative briefs, share brand guidelines, and review drafts for accuracy, quality, and brand fit.
- Proofread for spelling, pricing, offer details, and contact information before anything goes to print.
- Coordinate expo/export stall displays — layout, backdrops, product staging, and branding elements.
- Maintain a reliable panel of designers, printers, and event vendors; negotiate quotes and manage delivery.
- Keep a well-organised archive of all final creatives and print-ready files.
What success looks like
- Consistent, high-quality brand presence across retail outlets and communities.
- Growth in social media reach, engagement, and followers.
- Paid campaigns that deliver strong reach and return on ad spend within budget.
- Well-executed expos that generate measurable footfall and qualified leads.
- On-time, on-brand, on-budget delivery of all marketing collateral.
- A strong, organised brand-asset library and a reliable vendor network.
