Position : Sr. Executive/AM – Contract Management (Contract Drafting & Procurement Negotiation)

Location: Mumbai – Head Office

Experience: 4 to 8 years (Experience in Renewable Energy industry is preferred)

Package : 10 to 15 LPA

Qualification : BE /B Tech. / LLB

The Assistant Manager- Contract Management you will be responsible for assisting drafting contracts related to procurement of Technical/Long lead items, Services & packages required for Project Execution, MRO, O&M of renewable energy sector.

This role involves supporting the procurement team in various tasks related to contract drafting, contract vetting & contract negotiation, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Main job Responsibilities:

To support the Procurement function by independently drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing procurement contracts for renewable energy projects, ensuring risk mitigation, commercial protection, and alignment with company policies.

Draft, review, and finalize procurement-related contracts including EPC, supply, service, O&M, AMC, logistics, and civil/mechanical/electrical packages.
Develop and customize contract templates, GCC/SCC, scope of work, payment terms, LDs, warranties, and risk clauses.
Ensure contracts are aligned with internal procurement policies, commercial approvals, and legal guidelines.

Contract Negotiation

Lead and support commercial and contractual negotiations with vendors, OEMs, EPC contractors, and service providers.
Negotiate key contractual terms such as price, payment milestones, LDs, performance guarantees, warranties, indemnities, termination, and dispute resolution.
Balance commercial objectives with risk mitigation during negotiations.

Stakeholder Coordination

Work closely with Procurement, Legal, Projects, Engineering, Finance, and SCM teams to close contracts efficiently.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand scope, risks, and commercial intent before finalizing contracts.
Interface with external legal counsels when required.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure contracts comply with statutory, regulatory, and company requirements.
Identify contractual risks and propose mitigation measures.
Support audits, contract compliance reviews, and post-award clarifications.

Documentation & Governance

Maintain contract documentation, trackers, and version controls.
Support PO issuance, amendments, variations, and contract closures.
Ensure adherence to approval matrices and governance processes.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong expertise in contract drafting and negotiation within renewable energy procurement.
Deep understanding of procurement contracts for Solar / Wind / Hybrid / BESS projects.
Sound knowledge of commercial terms, Incoterms, LD structures, warranties, guarantees, and risk clauses.
Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts simultaneously.

Preferred Experience:

Exposure to IPP / EPC contracting models.
Experience working with OEMs, EPC contractors, and large vendors.
Familiarity with internal audits and governance frameworks.
Support the procurement team in vendor selection, evaluation, and management.
Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of contracts, vendor performance, and procurement activities.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide support.
Monitor contract performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities and performance.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in procurement
