At YS Innovations, Coimbatore, we build digital products and provide end-to-end digital solutions for startups, brands, and growing businesses. We’re looking for a Business Development Intern who can actively help us bring new clients, generate projects, build relationships, and grow our business.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to bring new clients and generate revenue for YS Innovations.

You will be responsible for:

Identifying and approaching potential clients, including startups, SMEs, brands, and local businesses
Generating new leads through networking, calls, email, social media, referrals, and other channels
Understanding client requirements and identifying suitable digital solutions
Introducing YS Innovations’ services and explaining how our solutions can help their business
Converting qualified leads into new projects and clients
Preparing basic proposals, estimates, and project discussions with the internal team
Conducting regular client follow-ups and maintaining professional communication
Coordinating with the design, development, SEO, and marketing teams
Supporting the sales process from lead generation → requirement gathering → proposal → negotiation → deal closure → project onboarding
Maintaining proper records of leads, prospects, follow-ups, and conversions
Building long-term relationships with clients and identifying opportunities for additional projects
Consistently working toward monthly revenue and client acquisition targets

Key Focus of This Role

Bring New Clients → Generate Projects → Generate Revenue → Earn More

This is a performance-driven business development role. Your earning potential increases as you successfully bring more business to YS Innovations.

Compensation StructureFixed Base Salary: ₹8,000/month

You will receive a fixed monthly salary of ₹8,000.

Variable Salary: 5% of Generated Project Revenue

In addition to the fixed salary, you can earn 5% variable compensation based on the revenue generated from projects you bring to YS Innovations.

For example:

₹50,000 project revenue → ₹2,500 variable
₹1,00,000 project revenue → ₹5,000 variable
₹2,00,000 project revenue → ₹10,000 variable
₹5,00,000 project revenue → ₹25,000 variable

The more business you generate, the more you earn.

Variable compensation will be calculated based on the applicable eligible project revenue and company sales/commission policy.

Mandatory Skills & Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

✅ Ability to understand client business problems and convert them into project requirements

✅ Basic understanding of web development, mobile apps, eCommerce, Shopify, SEO, and digital marketing

✅ Strong negotiation, persuasion, and follow-up skills

✅ Confidence in speaking with business owners, founders, and decision-makers

✅ Professional attitude and ability to communicate clearly

✅ Ability to work with internal teams and follow sales processes

✅ Willingness to learn sales strategy, pricing, proposals, and project planning

✅ Goal-oriented mindset with a strong focus on client acquisition and revenue generation
