Job Summary

We are looking for a Solar Sales Consultant who will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, understanding customer requirements, presenting suitable solar solutions and converting leads into successful sales.

The candidate will interact with residential, commercial and industrial customers, explain the benefits and ROI of solar energy, coordinate site surveys and work closely with the technical and execution teams to ensure smooth project closure.

Key Responsibilities

Generate leads through field visits, calling, references, networking and other sales activities.
Identify and approach potential residential, commercial and industrial customers.
Understand customers' electricity consumption, requirements and budget.
Explain suitable solar solutions such as On-Grid, Off-Grid and Hybrid systems.
Conduct product and solution presentations to prospective customers.
Explain solar system capacity, estimated generation, electricity savings, ROI and payback period.
Coordinate with the technical team for site surveys and feasibility assessments.
Prepare and share quotations/proposals with customers in coordination with the concerned team.
Follow up regularly with leads and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Negotiate with customers and convert qualified leads into orders.
Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Coordinate with internal teams for documentation, installation and project execution.
Ensure timely follow-up until project closure and payment realization.
Maintain daily/weekly sales reports and update CRM or lead records.
Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Keep yourself updated with solar products, market trends, competitors and government/industry developments.
Generate referrals and explore new business opportunities in the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate in any discipline.
Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, Mechanical or a related field will be an advantage.
Experience in Solar Sales / Renewable Energy / Electrical Products / EPC / B2B Sales will be preferred.
Candidates with strong field-sales experience from other industries may also be considered.

Experience

1–5 years of relevant sales experience.

Freshers with excellent communication, convincing ability and strong interest in solar sales may also be considered based on business requirements.
