Full job description

Position: Creative Lead – Art & Integrated Campaigns
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Reporting To: Founder / Director

Role Purpose

The Creative Lead will lead the conceptualization, creative direction, development and delivery of marketing communication for IKON and its clients.

The role will convert marketing strategies and client briefs into strong campaign concepts and visual communication, guide graphic designers and other creative resources, and take responsibility for the quality, consistency and timely delivery of all creative output.

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Advertising or a related discipline.

· Minimum 7 years of experience in graphic design, advertising, branding or integrated marketing communication.

· Minimum 2–3 years of experience in creative direction, creative supervision or team leadership.

· Prior experience in an advertising, branding, digital or marketing consulting agency is mandatory.

· Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign concepts, key visuals, advertisements and integrated creative work.

· Proven career progression from Graphic Designer or Visualizer to Art Director, Senior Art Director or Creative Lead.

Key Responsibilities

· Understand client briefs, business objectives, target audiences and communication requirements.

· Develop campaign concepts, creative ideas, visual directions and key visuals.

· Present creative concepts and their rationale to clients and senior management.

· Lead the development of creatives for digital, social media, print, websites, presentations and marketing collaterals.

· Provide art direction covering layout, typography, colour, imagery, composition and visual treatment.

· Brief, guide and supervise graphic designers, copywriters, freelancers and production partners.

· Review and approve creative output for concept, design quality, message clarity, accuracy and brand consistency.

· Remain hands-on for master creatives, key visuals, important pitches and critical design improvements when required.

· Develop campaign headlines, campaign lines, scripts and key communication messages, and ensure that the copy aligns with the creative concept, visual direction and brand strategy.

· Coordinate photoshoots, video production and multimedia content when required.

· Work closely with strategy, marketing, account management and performance teams.

· Manage creative assignments, revisions and deadlines and take responsibility for final client delivery.

· Use client feedback and campaign-performance insights to improve future creative work.

Required Skills & Competencies

· Strong graphic design and art-direction capability.

· Strong campaign conceptualization and visual storytelling skills.

· Excellent understanding of layout, typography, colour, composition and visual hierarchy.

· Ability to translate marketing strategy into effective creative communication.

· Ability to develop key visuals and guide integrated campaign adaptations.

· Ability to brief, review and improve the work of graphic designers.

· Sound understanding of advertising copy, headlines, scripts and brand tone.

· Strong creative judgement and attention to detail.

· Strong communication, presentation and client-handling skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines.

· Strong ownership, problem-solving and decision-making ability.

· Practical knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

· Working knowledge of Canva, video-production formats and AI-enabled creative tools.

· Basic understanding of UI/UX and digital content formats.

Key Performance Indicators

· Quality and originality of creative concepts.

· Quality of art direction and key visuals.

· Quality and consistency of final creative output.

· Alignment of creative work with client briefs and brand strategy.

· Timely delivery of campaigns and creative assignments.

· Accuracy and completeness of final deliverables.

· Effectiveness in guiding and improving graphic designers.

· Reduction in avoidable errors and repeated revisions.

· Client and internal stakeholder satisfaction.

· Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.

· Contribution to pitches, presentations and new-business opportunities.

· Ownership and accountability for creative development and final delivery.

Role Accountability

The Creative Lead will be accountable for the complete creative-development process from client brief to final delivery.

Graphic designers and other resources will execute much of the artwork and production work; however, the Creative Lead will remain responsible for clear briefing, creative direction, quality control, timely completion and the final output delivered to the client.

Pay: Up to ₹890,000.00 per year
