JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Junior Accountant / Accounts Executive

Department: Accounts & Finance

Experience: 0–2 Years

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) or equivalent

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Objective

Photo Today Photography is looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and organized Junior Accountant / Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.

The candidate will be responsible for Tally Prime, billing, bookkeeping, GST-related activities, payment and receipt entries, customer outstanding follow-up, bank reconciliation, and financial documentation. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of accounting and be comfortable working with Tally and MS Excel.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.

Create and maintain company profiles, ledgers, and accounting records in Tally Prime.

Record sales, purchase, receipt, payment, and expense entries accurately.

Prepare, verify, and maintain sales and purchase invoices.

Maintain proper documentation of bills, vouchers, receipts, and other financial records.

Maintain and monitor customer outstanding reports.

Follow up with clients/customers regarding pending payments and collections.

Record and monitor company receipts, payments, and expenses.

Handle and maintain daily cash transactions and cash records.

Perform bank reconciliation and identify discrepancies.

Maintain GST-related sales and purchase records.

Assist in GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B preparation and filing.

Check Input Tax Credit (ITC) and support GST reconciliation.

Assist with E-Way Bill preparation and related documentation.

Identify accounting errors or discrepancies and coordinate for timely correction.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports for management.

Support the Senior Accountant and management in financial reporting and accounting-related activities.

Track and follow up on client payments and ensure timely collection.

Maintain confidentiality of company financial and business information.

Ensure accounting records and documents are maintained systematically and accurately.

Complete assigned accounting tasks within the required deadlines.

Required Skills

Tally Prime – Mandatory

The candidate should have practical knowledge of:

Tally Prime

Company creation and ledger creation

Sales and purchase entries

Receipt and payment entries

Expense entries

Day-to-day bookkeeping

Bank reconciliation

GST-related accounting entries

Checking basic financial statements and balance sheet

GST Knowledge – Mandatory

The candidate should have a basic practical understanding of:

GST fundamentals

GSTR-1

GSTR-3B

Input Tax Credit (ITC) checking

GST sales and purchase reconciliation

E-Way Bill process

Computer Skills

Good working knowledge of MS Excel

Basic computer and documentation skills

Ability to maintain digital and physical financial records

Eligibility

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) or equivalent.

Experience: 0–2 years in accounting or finance.

Freshers with strong practical knowledge of Tally and GST may also be considered.

Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience will be preferred.

Basic computer knowledge is mandatory.

Good communication and coordination skills are required.
