Your team

This role is part of our KYC (Know Your Customer) team - they are responsible for understanding more about people who want to trade on our platform using digital services like identity verification. You will proactively contact clients to help move them through the application process to become a live client.

Your role in the Team's Success.

IG operates across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes and has important compliance requirements, including KYC Client Onboarding. You will be part of the KYC team where your primary activity will be reviewing exceptions for new customer accounts, evaluates all type of retail, Corporate and Institutional accounts and analyse new customer processes and policies. You will need to communicate effectively and efficiently with our Clients (via written forms such as web chat and e-mail), as well as with rele vant internal and external parties to complete the KYC review process. This role offers good learning in Anti-money laundering (AML) processes and procedures and also opportunities to identify risk and provide supports in fixing the risks identified, problem solving skills, develop in other areas of the wider operations team and to build strong relationships with compliance and other operational departments.

What you'll do

Bring your process knowledge in identifying exceptions in all types of retail and institutional account opening processes.

Act as a SPOC for any inquiries from different stakeholders.

Provide training to new joiners and act as a buddy until they are up in the learning curve.

Assist in providing process trainings to different stakeholders.

Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory, policy and procedural requirements, and take ownership of relevant procedural updates.

Being proactive in creating incidents and escalating system/process issues while keeping the management informed.

Adhere to agreed targets, KPIs, SLAs, productivity and quality standards consistently.

Perform quality check analysis on time and provide feedback.

Work closely with internal/external audit teams when necessary.

Identify potential risks and process gaps.

What you'll need for this role:

Key Qualification Requirements:

Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and adopting an enthusiastic approach when speaking to new clients

Minimum 1 year of experience performing AML/KYC activities in the financial services industry

Understanding of the end-to-end KYC and client on-boarding processes

Strong Risk awareness (incl. Operational, Compliance, Business and Reputational)

Experience of on boarding across different client types

Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and industry guidelines

Understanding of sourcing information from various data sources

Excellent written and oral communication skills, fluent in English

Great attention to details

Ability to cope well under pressure and adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment.
